bruh how long does it take to "develop the productive forces" the NEP lasted SEVEN years, and we've had Socialism with "Chinese" (more like capitalist) Characteristics for over 40 years!!! and we're gonna get to Real Socialism in 2050??? like there are clearly more than enough "productive forces", arguably even more than the United States, that the Chinese state could move away from the capitalist road right now. Is there a good, detailed explanation for this which doesn't just boil down to "But China knows best!" (which was the main argument for the USSR before they dissolved, which destroys the argument), or "fuck you Westerner!!"? I swear I'm not trying to start an argument, but I've read enough theory that the points being made in favor of the current economic policy in China being correct are very, very lacking, in my humble opinion.
