i hate to break it to you but you're missing the point? why do you think fetishization of school uniforms exists in the first place? it's not about consent, it's about the connotations of wearing one. it's about their origin and purpose. they exist for SCHOOL. GIRLS. think about what makes it cute, what makes it sexually appealing to people. why anyone, regardless of gender or age, would view it in a sexual manner at all. even if some don't, there are people who DO. THAT's the problem here.

Even if there are people who do, it wouldn’t make the statement that “all people who sexualize school girl uniforms are immediately pedophillic” always true. Nor does it warrant OP’s attitude that the fetishization is a western thing rather than mostly a Japanese thing.

Fact remains that people who are not sexually attracted to underage people, or girls in general, can be capable of being attracted to other people who wear the uniform.

It is extremely difficult to associate a 6 foot something buff man to a school girl. That is the complete antithesis to a typical school girl.

The proper solution to “the problem” is for them to specify the statement to “adults who sexualize school girl uniforms in a way that associates to fetishizing underaged people are gross”. That’s specific and should satisfy every reasonable person.
