Die höchsten Berge der Erleuchtung sind in Wahrheit Vulkane, die sich dem ewigen Lebensnektar der tiefsten Erkenntnis jedem Werdens und Vergehens nähren... Sie sind der Ursprung allen Seins. Somit ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass die Ewigkeit seine Bedeutung erst erlangt durch Zeit... so sind wir zwar alle begrenzt in unserem spatio-temporalen Dasein, jedoch können wir darin neuen Sinn erschaffen. Wir sind Wesen, die sich der Kunst des Denkens und Erschaffens beköstigen, geben unserem blinden und tauben formlosen Sein eine bewusste Ebene und Form, indem wir uns unseres eigenen Bewusstseins bewusst werden, rein durch die Tatsache der Selbstbezüglichkeit, die mit Selbstbeobachtung einhergeht... Wir geben uns selbst die Form und Gestalt, die wir wollen, die unser Geist *haben soll*. In der höchsten Bewusstseinsstufe habe ich den Drang erkannt, das zu werden, was mein Geist tatsächlich *ist*: einzig ein Vakuum, das sich um sich selbst wickelt und sich selbst somit Form gibt... Löst man sein Ego zu wahrlich hundert Prozent auf ist es wie das Überschreiten der Konstante der Lichtgeschwindigkeit, der alle Teilchen unterliegen: Man verliert drastisch jedwede komplexe Form, wird neu geboren in einem eignen rekursiven neuen Vakuum, das keine einzige Unreinheit aufweist, bis man selbst es beginnt, wieder in eine Richtung zu formen. Der Zustand von absoluter Formlosigkeit ist gleichzeitig der Zustand des absoluten Bewusstseins als auch seines absoluten Wider: mit dieser neuen Erkenntnis wird der menschliche Geist neu geboren. Willkommen in der Epiphysen-Krise!

Announcing Der Geist: The Journal of Egoism from 1845 to 1945 Vol.1 No.1 

DER GEIST (Trevor Blake, editor) is an English-language journal for an international audience, publishing original scholarship on the philosophy of egoism. DER GEIST emphasizes the first century of egoism in print (from the 1845 publication of Der Einzige und sein Eigenthum by Max Stirner to the end of 1945). The inaugural issue includes an exclusive biography of Dora Marsden, lost essays by and about Malfew Seklew, and a newly discovered first photograph of Ragnar Redbeard.

DER GEIST is the permanent record of UnionOfEgoists.com, founded on 1 April 2016 by Kevin I. Slaughter and Trevor Blake. UnionOfEgoists.com has published hundreds of pages of rare historic egoist texts and will be publishing thousands more.

DER GEIST is descriptive (about), not prescriptive (advocating), of egoism.   Scholarly interest in the egoism of Stirner, Marsden, Redbeard, Seklew and their peers (including Benjamin DeCasseres) has a new and unique home in DER GEIST.

Stand Alone Podcast | Benjamin DeCasseres, Sidney E. Parker, Voltairine de Cleyre 

This podcast premieres the first audio episode of Stand Alone (2016) and the 11th issue in the series. Stand Alone is mixed medium and format journal produced at irregular intervals. Our podcast, while sporadic, will be divided into two types. News, topical discussions and interviews will be labelled Der Geist, and the reading of historical works by or about egoism will fall under the Stand Alone banner.

This episode features readings from the work of three figures associated with the history of egoism: Benjamin DeCasseres, Sidney E. Parker, Voltairine de Cleyre.

Though de Cleyre was not an egoist per se, she was at one point an individualist and through her life struggled between individualism and altruism, trying to reconcile the two. Her writing and life has influenced other egoists and individualist anarchists.
