Do you ever just be scrolling through through any sites (Tumblr, TikTok, ao3) looking for anything new about your favorite topic *cough* descendants *cough* Jay angst *cough* -excuse me, and you just give up and go back to your saved/ liked posts and reread everything for the thousandth time.

Just me?

Not a ask, but please do a rant on Lonnie's inconsistent family.

Okay, so we all know that her parents are Mulan and Li Shang. So why the fuck is disney so werid about her dad being Li Shang?

Like in some areas, it will just list her fucking mom and not her dad. Which makes no sense since the other characters who's parents are both known always have both of them listed. Yet disney keeps being werid and dumb and just doesn't put his name down.

Like I know the sequels aren't canon but A) everyone ignores that rule and B) they were practically together at the end of the first Mulan movie. He showed up to her house looking for her. They were all over eachother looking at eachother with doe eyes. They were basically together.

Everyone knows it. And their older kid is literally named Li Shang Jr (which is a stupid ass name considering there are way too many juniors running around and since I heard it's apparently disrespectful in their culture to name a child after their parents).

So why do they act so fricking werid about it?

Also why aren't her grandparents and great grandma not mentioned? Why isn't Mushu and Crikee and little brother mentioned? Because as far as I'm aware they weren't?

And also apparently Mulan and Shang's 3 war buddies haven't met Lonnie? Apparently She hasn't met the child of Yao? Like, yeah, no. I don't buy that. They survived a war together and continued to work together. They cross dressed together. And those who cross dress together stick together.

Lonnie's family situation in descendants is just werid and frustrating in general. Then again I guess that's what fanfiction is for. To straighten out frustrating things like this. Still frustrating though.

Disney Fans (who love all the characters): I can't want to see our favorite characters are up to after their happily ever afters and what the new generation of Disney heroes would be like.

Disney Fan 1: I can see that Belle and Adam being the most wonderful parents

Disney Fan2: I think Rapunzel and Eugene should have twins

Disney Fan3: Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora would raise the most kindest people.

Disney Fan4: What about the children that already exist like Melody and Zephyr.

Disney Channel: Hey don't worry guys you can see Disney next gen and what your favorite characters are up to in descendants

- All the Aks (with exceptions) spolied little brats who are stereotypes from poorly written high school teen drama movies with little or no personality.

( -Belle and Beast are hardly recognizable and locked innocent children in a prison with the worst humans on earth (and verbally and emotionally abusive towards their son)

- Aurora and Phillip let Queen Leah (also written out of character) verbally abuse their daughter and wanted their daughter to marry Ben (EVEN THOUGH THROUGHOUT SLEEPING BEAUTY THEY ARE HYPOCRITICAL AND DIDN'T WANT TO MARRY WHO THEY WERE IRONICALLY ARRANGED TO MARRY AND HAVE A KINGDOM OF THEIR OWN)

- Cinderella and Prince Charming raised the most irritating and misogynistic little b*tch on earth and let her step nieces and nephews be with the household that she miraculously escaped from leaving them behind.

- Snow White and Prince Florian let the Evil Queen raise Evie and like Cinderella let her extended stepfamily be in that abusive household.

- Aladdin and Jasmine

- Tiana and Naveen

- Rapunzel and Eugene

- Anna and Kristoff

- Pocahontas and John Smith

- Alice

- Wendy Darling

- And many others

Their kids are background characters with no screen time and no exploration, have none, or not even mentioned.

Disney Fans: Oh this isn't what we wanted

Disney Channel: Oh yeah well what if I told you this spoiled bratty unlikable purple little piece of s*ht will have all the spotlight and everyone has to stop what they are doing to help her all, and it's all about her.

Gil is my comfort character but also my pity character in descendants. He’s so sweet and we get that he’s “too sweet for the isle”, but they be making him seem like he can’t defend himself and I don’t like that. He’s literally the least talked about character in descendants that I know of, no one really cosplays him, and all the fanfics that I read of him is of him being submissive or him getting bullied. I never seen a fanfic where he was seen as the dominant one or he took control of something or him just standing up for himself. He’s always getting saved by uma and harry hook like he’s a damsel in distress and that’s fine really, but Sheesh can he stick up for himself sometimes. 🤦🏽‍♀️ it doesn’t make it any better that he is basically just the ditsy,blonde stereotype either. Ok end of the rant I could go on though lol

i still feel so bad for the Smee twins designs

they had the worst designs, wigs, style and legit had no lines other than “im hungry”

like, they really made two whole ass characters then gave them the worst designs and didn't do anything with them. :/ 

like??? what is this??? why did they need long white/blonde hair??? Smee’s hair is white because hes old??? its not a genetic thing???? like who the fuck decided on this???? 

and their engagement party outfits???? legit the worst thing ever????? like....why?! 

THEY LOOK SO BAD?!?! WHY DID THEY HATE THE TWINS SO MUCH?!?! 

(also for some reason their make up was a reddened nose and cheeks and like.....WHY?!?! LIKE THE KIDS LOOKS AWESOME ON THEIR OWN WITH NO CHARACTER MAKEUP OR WIGS?! BOTH BOYS ARE BLONDE?! IT WOULD HAVE WORKED?! WHY DID THE COSTUME/MAKEUP DEPARTMENT HATE THE TWINS SO MUCH?!)

Okay, I know I've said this multiple times but Evie really be that homegirl you can ship with anyone 💙 and as a writer it makes it impossible to choose who I'm shipping her with in my stories

Like give me Mal and Evie (pure fluff who are totally oblivious to their feelings) or Audrey and Evie (my angsty, clueless bamf), Evie and Harry (yes, the shenanigans ), Jay and Evie (my dumbass with his genius), Evie and Carlos (pure nerds), Evie and Uma (Queens of Commons Sense and no time for anyone's bull), Evie and Ben (perfect couple), Evie and Chad (she makes me better), Evie and Jane (let me take care of you), Evie and Lonnie (sword lesbian wives), Evie/Anyone (you compliment each other)

The only couple that I'm not convinced is Evie and Doug and its not cause they don't have chemistry, i even tolerated them in D3...I just don't like Doug and its not cause he's not a prince or because he's a nerd but the boy admitted to stalking her in D1 and accused her of cheating in D2!?! I can't see past that and I'm sure Evie wouldn't be able to either, just sayin

Descendants

Carlos is the Tech Suavy one, Evie is the Fashion major, Mal is a Artist and in the books Jay can be really poetic, and in the movies he’s the sports dude. Are they trying for the stereotypes? Audrey = Mean girl seriously? Chad terrible person?

Who don’t they show this more, maybe Audrey isn’t as mean as we thought I mean Mal and her hugged in the first movie!! Hugged and we didn’t see her in the second, Welp.

Honestly... I’m annoyed, I love Jay from the books and I love the movie Jay I just wish they merged more. I mean the second book they sort of merge but Jay doesn’t really go into poetic metaphors and comments.

Ok I feel like I’ve officially read everything there is of Jay-centric fics on ao3. I’m this 🤏 close to reading stuff I don’t even like or understand (like Aladdin and jasmine being Jay’s real parents) just to read about Jay. Please someone make more or tell me where else I can find more I need it. Give me abused Jay, happy Jay, insecure Jay, magic Jay, anything.
