While browsing Tumblr, I noticed a picture of Brook hugging a guy, seemingly having fun. At first, I thought they were brothers or relatives, but when I checked their Discord, it seemed like Brook had a crush on him. They were a couple before Brook met Callisto?
And that eye necklace was kind of broken, and there was something written on it saying that he would use Eddie to enjoy the life that was stolen from him (it wasn't exactly those words, but it was something like that).
Furthermore, Eddie's father (supposedly) was also wearing a necklace when the photo was taken. My theory is that the spirit of Eddie's father is possessing him because he can't accept being dead and wants to return to life using Eddie's body. Am I right, or am I crazy?

The man beside Brook here is named Richard Wievers. They knew each other in highschool but became friends in college. And yes you're right, Brook did have a crush on him. They, however, were not a couple.
As for your theory- I cannot say much about the compass/necklace, but, no, Richard is not haunting Eddie.
There is paranormal activity involved with that compass though!
Richard used to go ghost hunting with Brook back in college before things got 'messy' on Brook's end. They were huge conspiracy theorists- well i guess that hasn't really changed for Brook.
