At long last! I have worked so hard on this cover for a while, because I wanted it to be exactly how I wanted it. 

For anyone who doesn't know, this is my cover design for the Epic Reads challenge to design "The Heir," the next book in The Selection series (which is amazing, by the way) by Kiera Cass.

I used a mixture of photo manipulation and some watercolor painting for background effects and texture.

I hope you all enjoy it! :D

#DesignTheHeir Contest Entry

Hello all!!

I will be submitting my entry to Epic Read's #DesignTheHeir contest today. So keep an eye out for it! I designed the cover for the next book in the wonderful series by Kiera Cass, "The Selection." I worked really hard on it, and could use all your support! Thank you so much!!!

My idea for the cover of The Heir is that it has both twins on the cover. I picture the girl twin with a hair color in-between America's and Maxon's, or strawberry blond, and the boy twin with auburn hair. I decided on a plum purple dress with gold accents because it's a old contrast with red or blond hair. Since we have no idea what the twins look like or what their names are I did my best with this. I also love painting in water color. I rather not steal photos or even stock images for my entry. I did implement the title, however.
