side note: I really wish service animals were required to be, or at least like considered common curtesy to have them be, hypoallergenic. like obviously I have no problem with people having them in public spaces, but as someone who is so allergic to animal fur, particularly dogs, that I break out in hives and need an inhaler, it’s really difficult when I’m at work all day and someone brings a non-hypoallergenic one in for several hours

so it turns out water is leaking from the bathroom into my floor through a shared wall and for several hours we thought we'd have to do an emergency replacement of our bathtub (using money and time we do not actually have) before we could even run the water again but it turns out that when my brother uses the bathroom he runs the shower to drown out all the sounds. which would be fine, except he ALSO turns off the light because he has ✨issues✨ so this whole time he hasn't been able to see the fact that when he runs the shower, it's been just. immediately pouring off the side of the tub and through the floor (which in that spot has been rotted for years) and then it soaks into my carpet. and ALL of this happened because I thought my cat pissed on my floor, cleaned the carpet, and then wondered why it was taking so long to dry and the towels I put down to expedite the process got completely soaked (WORRYING) so yeah I've had a very stressful night and am very relieved that I'll get to shower in my own bathroom before my last day of work tomorrow. how are you guys doing?

#and NOW I have to rearrange part of my room because I had to move my drsk #desk*#and my power strip so that no electrical stuff would be on the wet floor. and I have work in the morning :/
