Fell in love with @wrenkenstein 's Juno this week and of course she had to find a place at the rodeo <3

My favorite part of this is that all conchos hold her modified cross symbol. I wish that the saddle engravements weren't lost to the texture of the brushes I use for flat colors.

Time to write her into the AU... and also finish the piece I already have :3

I love Ranger's design, its an old HARPG horse I have named Daiquiri and she is so pretty <3 Looks amazing in black tack which is 100% dark and broody Hunter's choice.

My Western/Rodeo AU fic Diamond in the Shavings has been finished! A labor love and am already one chapter in on the next fic in the series. (Thank you @wrenkenstein for the beta reading and idea scheming!!!)

I love the kih'aliit (small family) that has been made with Hunter, Crosshair, and Omega in this work.

“So what do you say kid,” Hunter opened both arms towards her, welcoming her into them, “do you want to stay with a bad batch of loner cowboys in this isolated section of the desert?” 

Omega could only nod as she threw herself into his arms. It was different than Crosshair’s hold the day before; where Crosshair had been a statue that slowly softened, Hunter was soft and welcoming from the start. He smelled of leather and sharp pine from his body soap, a warm smell that Omega relaxed into. He wrapped her tightly, closer to his chest and pressed his cheek against her temple. 

Crosshair’s hand joined Hunter’s arms on her back, rubbing circles into it and coaxing even breaths from her- when did she start crying? She was sobbing, clinging for dear life as her mind struggled to keep up with everything she was feeling. Excitement, relief, anxiety, longing, and comfort all fought for purchase at the front of her mind. 

“We got you.” Hunter softly rocked her, whispering the words into her scalp. “As long as you will have us as ori’vod, we will have you as kih’vod. You are aliit, family.”
