🆘 My irl best friend needs help. 🆘

I’ve been friends with Elizabeth since we were 10.

She is currently fighting ovarian cancer and the medical bills are piling up.

Late in June her life turned upside down with a full hysterectomy and a bunch of health problems after. She lives in Las Vegas and can’t afford to buy a car. She travels to medical appointments by Lyft, which is eating into her wallet. Before cancer she was employed and active, and now she had to give up her job because she can barely walk across her house without pain or shortness of breath. She’s waiting on disability, but it’s taking forever and her husband’s salary is barely enough to survive on.

If she can’t go to appointments, she can’t get her chemo and imaging done. Trying to walk there results in her developing ascites and she ends up hospitalized to get it drained. It’s very painful for her.

Can you PLEASE help? Any amount is helpful. I’ve been begging on her behalf on Twitter for weeks and there’s barely anything, so I hope to get something here.

A share at the least, please, I dont wanna lose my brother, 4, almost 5 weeks in and barely any help. On top of this we're trying to get 65$ by Sunday afternoon for the peetests and fingerprint things for all of us that the state needs for my brother to get his kids back, they need to be done before they go to the court date in Florida, they're leaving Sunday nignt to get there Monday morning. We're drowning its so much. Any help is a blessing.

I am in panic mode, and once again asking for help.

As some of you know, I lost my job three weeks ago. I received my last paycheck last week, and it is nowhere near enough to cover expenses. Added to this, my energy supplier decided to drop 12 months of gas on me THIS MONTH, because due to their own oversight, they haven't actually been charging me for it.

My standard outgoings in a month are around £600. This month, the gas company has upped that by £800. I am in contact with them to negotiate time to pay this over (I did an adult and everything). I am also desperately seeking work, and have a couple of interviews lined up for the next week.

I have commissions open, and I would very much appreciate any help anyone can put my way.

I have £400 in my account. In order to survive this month, I need to raise a further £500-£600, ideally by June 17th 2024.

31 day December challenge #8

Hello,

I truly hope you guys enjoy my little count down. I feel like I am late with this today, but this getting harder and harder the longer it goes on, plus I started to think too much today. Even got distracted by games and netflix, I will try and get one out earlier tomorrow.

Enjoy the 8th one guys.

Hero started to enjoy the food Villain offered them, the small noises turned out to be welcoming. This little cell wasn’t even close to home, but here no one disrupted their thinking. No more missions or even injuries, if they didn’t fight. 

“You’re quiet” Villain stated and the door cracked open. Hero looked up from their laying position on the stomach. “You actually look comfortable here.”

Hero laughed and brightened up, a while ago Hero would have flinched and been scared. But after all this time their face was a sign of safety. “Yeah… Never thought that would happen.” 

Villain left the door open to sitting in front of Hero. Watch them tapping the melody of a Christmas song on the floor, even if months had flown away. They knew Christmas was here, “why did you give up in the first place?” This was the first time in weeks they had asked that question and this time Hero felt like telling them.

“My family died a few years ago and I guess it hit me how alone I am. I wanted time to think, but people never left me alone…” Hero admitted and had never dared to get another family or even a partner, just in case they would lose someone again.

Villain reached for them and Hero didn’t move, their was no fear or even any kind of happiness in their eyes. “As I said you have been quiet” they repeated.

“Do you miss my screams and fighting?” Hero rolled over to laying on their back, sighing deep. Relieved that they finally had someone to talk to, “don’t take anything for granted. My father used to tell me that all the time.” Hero missed those times, all those talks with their parents or even their siblings. “I didn’t listen.”

Villain dragged them up in a hug, which Hero embraced with all their hurting heart. “I was thinking of moving you to something more comfortable, this is kinda depressing.” Hero looked around and hadn’t noticed, if not it had stopped them from doing anything stupid. But depressing… Maybe.

Hero meet their warm eyes and a small smile, it felt like they were a couple of sort. Cuddling close to each other for… “Is Christmas spirit even getting to Villains?”

Please Help Me

My girlfriend and I have been reluctantly taking shelter in my dad house for the last few months while we try to get our lives together...but every day my dad is more verbally and emotionally abusive, and I feel physically threatened. He stole and sold a car I was planning to make money off of to support us, and refuses to give me a penny. I'm barely eating and am regularly chastized just for getting myself food.
