I’m convinced Cas could feel Dean’s longing here, Exile on Main Street indeed

okay but the fact that cas is a millions of years old all-powerful celestial being who can move mountains and travel through time, and yet Dean can halt him with a single quiet touch is just something i will never be over
Hi im back with pain y’all ever think the reason Cas never really stayed at the bunker too often was because it hurt too much to see the man he was so absolutely in love with nonreciprocative (is that a word?) of his love and the fact that he couldn't tell Dean how deeply he was cherished and loved out of fear of rejection and losing the only family he had? Because the more he craved Dean’s presence, Dean’s friendship, Dean’s love--the more he’d feel himself fall farther, not just from grace and Heaven and God, but from himself, too? And finding reasons to leave and distance himself was the only solution to numb that ache in his chest, the one he absolutely should not feel, the one that made him fall and broken?
Anyways.
