It's Asher missing time so I wrote this, yes I actually am missing the grump.
(Warning two swear words and horrible grammar.)
Atlas walked down a winding hallway carrying a box in his arms, he greeted his fellow Guardians as he passed them but it was quick as his focus was on getting the box to his designation. As he rounded another corner he comes face to face with Crow.
"May I ask where you're taking a box?" Crow asks, quickly getting in sync with Atlas's speed.
Drachen pops out of Atlas's armor. "Apologies for my Guardian not replying he's concentrating on making sure the box reaches its destination. But I don't think Atlas would mind you following him as you will learn about someone who was important." The Ghost explains
Crow keeps silent as he thinks about whose memorial is down this hall that Atlas would care about, but all that's down here are the Guardians who were very secluded.
Atlas makes two more turns then stops at a door that slides open and he walks into the room, Crow follows him and they walk to a large memorial. Crow reads the name of the Guardian as Atlas sets the box down then opens it.
"Asher Mir, where have I heard that name before." Crow mutters
"Asher was an expert on the Vex like Osiris and lived on Io for years doing research on the Vex, he wrote multiple theories and books on them. But before he started living there he hired two Hunters to join him in heading down into the Pyramidion to where they ran into many strange realities that the Vex simulated, they were also revived multiple times. They eventually made it to a Radiolarian lake where they fought Brakion, somehow the Fireteam made it out but Asher and his Ghost were infected by Radiolaria of the lake since they fell into it. Asher's right arm turned straight Vex while a good portion of his Ghost also turned Vex, through the rest of their lives the Vex infection slowly crept through their bodies and change anything it could. The two died during the battle on Io where Asher brought down the Pyramidion's Radiolarian lake on the two." Drachen explains to Crow
Atlas finally gets the thing out of the box and places it on the memorial table, Crow looks at it confused.
"What's in the Urn if Asher's body wasn't recoverable?" Crow asks
Atlas grins and places a hand on the urn. "This contains an arm of Brakion, Asher wanted to get it cremated and placed in this urn he made but unfortunately Asher never got to do it. I personally took the opportunity to and after a lot of paperwork I was finally given permission to cremate the arm and put it on Asher's memorial." He explains
"How did you get the arm?" Crow questions
"I'm the one who pulled it off for Asher in the first place, it's been strapped down in the way back of my ship for years." Atlas replies then laughs at Crow's reaction and adds. "In Asher's words, it took my arm so I want his arm so I can cremate it then put it in an urn I constructed for it." Atlas looks at the large picture of Asher looking angry that he had to get the picture done. "At least now your final wish is done, sorry it took so long you know how hard it is to get anything like this approved."
"So um, were you two close?" Crow asks
"Hell no, we hated each other for years but in the last two of his life we at least could be civil. I actually left a burn mark on his collar, he insulted Titans and Zavala one too many times while Faire and I were doing something for him, and well after the mission and reporting to him I grabbed his shirt with my flaming fist. Faire quickly pulled me off him and had Drachen send me up to my ship while she finished talking. Eventually he found my fire happy Titan self to be useful and in return other than loot he let me sit on a rock near him when I wanted a break. I cried at his funeral because he grew on me as the grumpy uncle type." Atlas tells Crow then turns back to the picture.
Crow leaves the room letting Atlas have some alone time to remember his sorta family member, also in fear that the Titan burned someone. "Glint, please remind me to never piss Atlas off that badly."
