I feel like the way Rei acts towards Conan (and his allies... aka Akai Shuuichi) is completely different now. I think it's due to the mysterious "tea party" with the Kudos and Akai. In the latest movie, I found him being an actual ALLY to Conan. He was exchanging informations with him for real. Usually, as much as we all know him being one of the good guys, he acts mysterious and also a little bit arrogant. This time, he was actually trying to help Conan out.
