If thereās one positive to be taken from the weekend, itās that Max has proven that he can in fact more than hold his own against top endurance drivers. He fought his way to the top in all of his stints, and the commentators themselves said that his performance was ānothing short of a masterclassā. A mechanical failure sucks, but it doesnāt take away from the fact that he once again proved why heās one of the biggest legends in motorsport history.
And also, let me just say it was such a breath of fresh air to see how Max is treated in GT compared to F1. I honestly respect the hell out of the GT drivers because they actually carry themselves like real racers. Not once do you ever hear any of them moaning about how Max is ātoo aggressiveā, āthinks he can do whatever he wantsā, āshould have gotten a penaltyā or whatever because unlike certain bums in the so-called pinnacle of motorsport, they actually understand hard racing for what it is and that battles are meant to be won on track instead of with your mouth.
