Appleseed Landmate by Chokolat Shadow AKA PixelMeCrazy Via Flickr: I watched Appleseed alpha on netflix a few days ago, and I remembered how much I liked Landmates, and how cool the purple one Deunan used on the first Appleseed movie, So I Went onto building that Landmate, but it has parts from the Landmate used on Ex Machina as well. In a short description, a Landmate is the future's response for a combat support suit, It can fly supported by the anti gravitational unit on its back, the spikes on the back are actually cameras to look around corners and it has 3 cannons on each side of the back for lateral defense. the control of the arms is done by mimicking the motion of the arm guards that the pilot use, and I had to cheat on the leg control, since the legs of the pilot go into the thighs of the Landmate. I gave it a rifle that holsters on the right leg and a combat knife. It does fit a minifig pilot (The closer I could build Deunan on minifig form) and the minifig can carry a weapon to mimic the main gun at the same time. the anti gravitation unit folds on the back and the knife also goes stored there as well. So I hope you like this build and go watch all the Appleseed movies, the first one hasn't aged that well, but Ex Machina still rocks, the manga is an oldie and hard to find, but it is also amazing, and did I mention the Appleseed manga was made by Shirow Masamune, the same creator of Ghost in a shell.

Deunan Knute from Masamune Shirow’s Appleseed. Masamune Shirow is my favorite artist (hence the social media name). Appleseed was one of the first manga I ever bought and the artwork caught me right away. The line work, the pacing, the action, and the story made me a fan for life. I have a large collection of his works and continue to collect to this day.

One of the best tropes(or cliches or whatever you wanna call it)...

Is when the mostly stoic, will sometimes show concern for others, perhaps crack a joke or two dude giving their partner a surprise kiss of relief after something happened and it's shocking to the partner. Case and point:

After Duenan was free from the rubble after splitting aways from briareos during a mission and the building around her exploading.

After Duenan was in the sinking ship and her suit was locked up from the pressure and Briareos went town do save her via activating her flotation device.
