Spoilers for The Boys finale,
But sometimes a family is an angry Cockney, his wife he thought was dead who's been living in hiding, an emotionally stunted arrogant superhero who's desperate for a familial connection, and their superpowered son she's raised in secret.
C'mon fandom, I wanna see that weird, messy family with Homelander trying to be a Dad and dealing with family for the first time, while getting to know the Butchers who don't give a shit about who he is and aren't afraid of him. He seems to like/respect folks who intimidated by him or say what they think he wants to hear. I can't see him trying to take his son from Becca (he has his own mommie issues still, and she's the woman who nearly died having their baby before leaving everything to give him a normal life), so would he be at the house every night? Every weekend? Billy isn't gonna lose Becca again, so I wanna see how the three of them are gonna deal with co-parenting this boy.
Also, I'm curious what she named him. Is he named in the comics? From what I've heard happens there, I'm hoping they don't go that route. It's wishful thinking, but he's just met this kid who looks like a miniature him, with his powers, and who admires him, but raised in a normal home. Either he could become worse, or become more human now that he has a son, and something of a family to give him a connection with humanity. (Maybe that leads to Vought thinking he's not as useful, leading to another comics event)
I'll probably write this AU eventually, since I can't stop wondering what happened after that cliffhanger ending. And go watch Banshee since there's a similar dynamic, where Starr's character shows up and realizes his ex's half-wild teenage daughter is his, and they have to decide what their relationship will be.
Just finished S04 yesterday, so many feels. Also about Lucas being the greatest father
I miss Deva :(
“Does it matter if I want you to stay?”
“Yes. It matters. Ok?”
What about Deva? Didn’t you at least want to see her? I have seen her.
