Women in Mahabharata - Suvarchala
She is the daughter of Devala and the great-granddaughter of Prabhata. She is married to Shvetaketu Auddalaki.
When she had been ready to marry, she has requested that her father marry her to a man who was simultaneously blind and not. She is rejected by all other eligible brahmin bachelors because they decide that she must not be very smart. When Shvetaketu comes to see her, she is angry at first, taking him to be the same as the others.
However, Shvetaketu declares that he is blind to luxury and not blind to devotion at the same time. Moreover, he promises to always serve her to the best of his abilities. This makes her happy and she agrees to marry him.
Then they both live the rest of their lives living by the principles of performing one's karma without being attached to them and being casteist for funsies in their free time.
