#King #Krushndevrai ##Vijaynagar #Devgiri #Hindutva #Hindu #DakshinSamrajya
Siddheshwara temple, among all, is of significant temple. The temple of Siddheshwar belongs to the period of the Peshwas as per the Devanagari inscriptions which are placed on the south-gate of the temple. The beautifully carved temple portrays various #mythological themes like #ramayana & #mahabharata and elegantly carvings of God & Goddesses. We must say that this entire temple campus represent one the best example of Vaishnava (who follows Lord Vishnu) & Shaisava (who follows Lord Shiva) unity. #nevasa #siddheshwar #amazing #Incredible #india #lordshiva #shiva #mahadev #bholenath #shivparvati #devgiri #aurangabad #maharashtra India #family #love #care #respect #affection #photography #passion #spiritual... Citadel .. [2 / 2] The citadel of the Fort of Daulatabad looms through the haze of an unseasonal rain shower. The outer wall of the fort is visible in the foreground. Even though Devgiri/Daulatabad changed hands frequently, it was never conquered by direct assault. Aurangabad, MH. [Wiki -->]
Devagirī (देवागिरी) or Daulatābād (दौलताबाद) Fort
Built in the 12th century CE by king Bhillama, the Fort and adjacent city was the capital of the Yādava or Seoni dynasty that ruled over a swathe of the Deccan in the 12th and 13th Centuries before being subjugated by Allāuddin Khilji of the Delhi Sultanate. Devagirī – literally hill of the Gods – is a conical hill about 200 metres high; the fort surrounded by massive ramparts and a deep moat was considered impregnable, but was vulnerable to water shortages.
