The mission was going to be pretty simple, from what the other's said to him. Essentially, he'd just accompany and make sure everyone would be alright. Admittedly, Bob may have been partially spacing out the entire briefing, but everyone let it slide. He was just glad to be around in their presence. It made the whispers in his head quiet enough, lessening the feeling of burdening the others.
Once inside, and it took several long hours just to reach this place, Bob may have gone off on his own, accidentally, and down many hallways. It was as if something were calling to him; an unseen force that pulled him closer and closer to wherever it wanted him to go.
Past a door that had been sealed shut, opening easily for him, Bob noticed that there wasn't much in this room. The only thing truly worth noting was of the large glass structure in the center, and the low-powered machines keeping it working properly. A light coating of fog was on the floor, and the temperature dropped significantly. He should have called for the others, but his sight was transfixed on the center there, and he inched closer. It was like a small room within a room.
