Bored, so flexed those writing muscles and wrote a little something for my own absolute devil @vampireamadao
Daniel hadn't run away from Night Island for his safety or because the trials and tribulations of being with an ancient powerful vampire got to be too much, or any of the other very reasonable reasons he could have run away for. Every time he tried to tell himself it was, he heard his own voice in his head, cracking like a pre-pubescent teenager as he begged on his knees for Armand to turn him. It wasn't the first time he'd gotten on one knee, as if proposing, only for both knees to hit the floor when the same sad pitiful look stared back at him. Daniel was ready to beg for it, always.
Please, please, please, turn me, make me like you, so we can be together forever.
He had been away from Night Island for barely two weeks. Taking the money that he still had in his account and wasting it as quickly as he could on booze, drugs and girls. He never slept with the girls, something about that felt like a betrayal he couldn't quite stomach, but he'd buy them drinks, dance a bit too closely, and in the right establishment slip some paper between lace fabric and skin.
Two weeks and he'd managed to waste that money away, sat in a club he hated, with a girl he'd dragged along with him all week just because she could get him drugs and wishing Armand would come and get him already, slap his wrists and bring him back home.
"Come on Daniel, you've been fun all week, let's get fucking high." She whined into his ear, pressed up right against him. He could feel her soft chest and the way she fidgeted as her body demanded more drugs. He was into it earlier in the week, but it was disgusting him now.
"Coke's a fun man's drug," he parroted, weirdly remembering Louis's words now of all times. "And I'm not feeling fun tonight."
"Oh boo, come on be the fun Daniel I've met all week."
"I said no!" He snapped, shoving her until she fell to the ground. She'd barely done anything wrong, she didn't deserve to be so blindsided and hurt but Daniel couldn't fucking care. "Fuck off, go find some other junkie to get off your face with."
"Hey buddy, you wanna settle down or do you want to be escorted outside?" The bartender intervened, sternly. Daniel had learnt nothing in his years as a journalist and junkie.
"I don't know, do you want to mind your own business or do you want to go fuck yourself?"
Daniel didn't remember actually being kicked out, just the literal kick to his ribs from one of the security staff as he was thrown to the floor of the alley way outside - the back entrance of course to not cause a scene. He couldn't even get himself up, but that was ok because he knew, he could feel it. He was there. His beautiful little devil.
"Armand, come take me home..." he whispered, pathetically still laying on the cold filthy ground while he waited.
