In Icecrown gen chat, I suggested that what WoW needs is a Teratophoneus - a cousin of T. rex. It means 'murder monster'.

As someone who spent a lot of time in Un’Goro during vanilla, the Devilsaurs are all the murder monsters we need.  LOL

Vanilla flashback:  

I spent a lot of time in Un’Goro picking herbs and collecting soil to make Morrowgrain.  I also spent a lot of time trying not to get utterly pwned by Devilsaurs, with, um, varying success.

Legacy Development Blog 4/21

Been a busy few days around Legacy HQ... so busy we have TWO DEVILSAURS in the Featured Content Graphic! Lets get everyone up to speed!

Connection Guide 3.0 

A new CONNECTION GUIDE has been published with updated information. The old 2.1 guild still referenced Kalimdor and had a number of broken links. Hopefully this one can stay up to date! There are a few things to note:

Themistocles is really close to having the Launcher working and I suspect that we'll be able to start testing it at the staff level soon before distributing it to the community for Beta testing.

Realmlist has volunteered to help me with the Mac/Apple connection guide, which is great! However, if you're a Mac/Apple user and you are willing to offer your own insights please do not hesitate to PM one of us!

We're working on hosting a lot of our downloads, possibly including the 3.3.5a torrent, natively on the server so we don't have to rely on third party hosts.

  New Sidebar 

A new sidebar has been added called "Quick Information. It is our hope that this new sidebar will give new players and community veterans alike quick and easy access to vital information. This will be vitally important as new people come to the server in the upcoming months. As part of this new Sidebar is the return of the Server Clock!

  Legacy Q&A 

A new Legacy Q&A went live over the weekend as well. The hope is that this will help answer questions that new players have when they find the server. Battlemedic will likely be making changes as well as adding addition questions and answers.

      A picture screen shot is worth a thousand words 

Building on Harpy's Small PSA, it is pretty important to screen shot anything that you might think it questionable, especially if you report it to staff. A lot of staff-hours go into investigating things and screen shots, unaltered so we can see the time, location and everyone involved, go a long way to cutting down investigation time.

  It's not over until the fat lady sings! 

Building upon Roz's post about Events and the Treatment of Staff/STs, I would like to gently remind everyone that if you don't like how an event is going the best course of action is to attempt to change the outcome ICly. There is way to much complaining, especially mid-event, about things. I will ask that players focus on staying in character and making an impact before complaining about something that isn't even finished yet. Not only will this make the event run smoother, but faster since everyone will be focused on the event, not the complaining. Really, complaining gets old.

  Tome of Legacy 

As most of the community has probably seen, a new thread called The Tome of Legacy is active in the Development Section. Within this thread we will be releasing vital information on what you can expect in regards to Legacy when it launches. I've set a few dates for information release.

  Since we're ahead of schedule at the moment, and will probably be behind schedule later, Chapter 5: Economy has been posted a day early! This will be bound to spur some discussion on the forums so I will ask that you keep your comments objective, think about things on a deeper level before ranting, and check to see if there is already a topic or thread you can add to before making a new one.
