Discord Server Pruning

Hi all! I am making this announcement here in case any Camp Digimonth Server members might have the discord muted but still be following the event Tumblr here.

Our server first opened in late 2020. As with any fandom, interest naturally rises and falls among members, which is totally natural and fine! That does mean that, over time, servers accumulate inactive members. Active members report being more comfortable engaging in the server when they are familiar with the members in the server, meaning that occasional cleanups encourage engagement.

The Camp Digimonth Server will have its first removal of inactive members using statbot on 6/7/24. To retain your membership, all you need to do is send one text message in the discord between the time of this post and that date. There will be another reminder post here and in the discord when that date approaches. Any current members who do not make at least one post between now and then will be passively removed by the bot.

Please know that this is in no way personal, and it isn't meant to be scary or an attack. It's just routine, bot-controlled maintenance to encourage comfort and engagement within the server. Thank you <3

Yes!!

100% going to be breeding equus, paracers and wolves. Instead of being an Admin, I think I'm going to be the main trader in the central hubs according to the obelisks. So, I'll have a base at/near each obelisk so everyone can find me.

As for currency... I think different dinos could cost different things. For example; a base starter equus could be really easy to get like 50-100 cementing paste, spark powder or bio toxin, with the materials for a saddle thrown in if a player wanted that too.

A paracer however would be more expensive, costing something like metal or pearls or something. Wolves could be the same or in the middle.

That being said, I still love the idea of a new server opening up to everyone and already having towns and villages ready for players. It would be tricky though. The ownership system in ARK for builds doesn't work like dinos. You can't build something and then unclaim it for someone else to claim it, which is a shame.

There's still much to be done.
