Firstly, I always thought Devonte Black was a producer so when I was sent this track, I was very much blown away. He has a two-tone voice, a mellow/soft tone that you hear in the beginning and then comes in through the chorus, and then there’s his regular voice in his verses. It’s a nice balance. The beat is obviously his, and you can tell because it’s very catchy. This is a smooth song about what’s beyond what’s in front of you.. greener grass.
