In the Dragonfruit au, how does Mikey discover his hatred for water?
Oh man, i giggled when i read this... dragon Mikeys hatred for water??
How? Very fast is how. Im sticking close to canon and theyre still in the sewers, and those are gross and damp when Donnie hasnt renovated an area to be habitable/dry. As soon as his fur grew out, he hated the wet areas because of how it affected his fur.
Physically/anatomically/naturally or whatever one it is, he just does NOT get along with water. Hes a dragon, but hes a house-cat-inspired dragon, specifically the kind of cat that really doesnt like baths or swimming.
And if dragon Mikey liked water? His furred mane definitely doesnt have the same opinion, it becomes an absolute nightmare to manage when its wet, and because the fluff is so thick it takes forever to finally dry out.
Thankfully hes not afraid of water, and is perfectly capable of swimming when he has to, but hes always gonna be giving baths/showers/rainy weather a very wide berth and avoid it as much as possible xD
Leo is probably a good chunk of the reason why Mikey doesnt like water, especially because of the spray bottle Leo found once and has since kept hidden whenever his brothers try to confiscate it...
Leo likes to (read: lovingly) terrorize his little brother every once in a while.
