Hi everyone! First off, thank you so much for your patience with us. Things have gotten really busy behind the scenes, and we’re sorry we haven’t been as present as we’d both like to. We know things have slowed down a little, and we truly appreciate everyone who’s continued to keep the space alive in the meantime.

That said, we’ll be making a few adjustments for the rest of the year to keep things running smoothly. The admin team will be stepping back and putting the group on hiatus for a while, so we won’t be managing events or activity checks, but the group will stay open for anyone who wants to keep writing, plotting, and interacting. We’re planning to return full-time around January of 2026.

In summary:

Applications will be closed for now.

No activity checks will be held until our return.

Current members are welcome to stay, write, and post as they please.

The muse cap will be lifted, so anyone already in the group can pick up new muses freely. Just please be mindful of FC hogging and overall balance while we’re away. If you decide to add a new muse, please message us to let us know— we’ll still be checking in occasionally and will do our best to keep the masterlist updated during the hiatus.

If you’d like to keep your spot in the group during this period, please like this post before November 19 so we can take note. If you plan to step away, that’s okay too, just keep in mind that you’ll have to wait until we reopen to reapply.

One last thing, we've noticed some members have received weird anon messages and we are sorry that this is happening. Unfortunately, we cannot really control how outsiders interact with our members and we really feel bad and sorry that this keeps happening and we understand any ill feeling that might come from this regarding the group.

We can’t say enough how grateful we are for everyone here. For your patience, your creativity, and the care you’ve put into this world with us. Even as we take a step back, we hope you’ll keep writing, connecting, and making this space your own. We’ll be back as soon as we can, but in the meantime, we’re excited to see what you all continue to create.

Hi all! The admin team hopes that everyone is doing well. We have a couple of reminders and important announcements pertaining the roleplay moving forward, so we kindly ask that everyone read through this post carefully.

Firstly, since there were five Fridays in August, we will not be conducting an activity check this week. Our next AC will be next Friday, September 12th. We hope that everyone enjoys their extra week to get some work done!

As a reminder, our hiatuses last up to two weeks. If you need more time, you can request a one-week extension. When requesting a hiatus, please provide a return date so we know when to expect you back. If you do not show activity within a week of your return date, you will be promptly removed from the roleplay.

When writing the guidelines for this group, it never occurred to us to even consider the usage of generative AI as a possibility in roleplay, but since opening, we've been discussing how to approach this subject, as the casual use of AI is quite common these days. Of course, we are not pointing fingers or blaming anyone— we have not had to deal with this yet, and we hope we never have to. What we will be doing as a precaution is making it explicit in our guidelines that the use of generative AI, for any written work like introductions, biographies, paras, etc., is prohibited and will result in dismissal and a ban.

Lastly, for the past two months, we have been accepting applications on a rolling basis. However, now that it's September, Tiger Admin and Cat Admin are both back to school and work, and therefore, we will be moving to having acceptances on a weekly basis. We will continue to answer questions and update reservations as they come. However, starting September 10th, we will post accepted apps every Wednesday at 10 PM (GMT-5). We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause!

Hello everyone! First of all, we apologize for the last things on our blog. We understand that aversion and differences in opinions are inescapable. As admins, we are equipped to handle these situations, but we do apologize if this has affected anyone’s experience within our group.

We will take this one moment to address the past member directly. We apologize that you did not have a good time here. However, it must be noted that you broke one of our guidelines regarding age gap relationships, which in turn led to multiple members contacting us to express their discomfort, and could've resulted in you getting removed from the group even if you did submit AC. It's relevant to point out that both these things also could've been avoided if you had read and followed our guidelines thoroughly.

Ultimately, one’s experience in a roleplay is subjective. While our experience as admins has been positive overall, it would not be fair of us to say that someone’s experience and opinion is incorrect. This will just remain a matter that we will disagree on, as our decisions on how we run this roleplay do not align with what some expect out of a specific space. And that is okay.

After this statement, we will no longer be addressing anything related to the topics brought up by the anons and past members. We ask that members refrain from engaging with them as well.

Lastly, we would also like to thank all members who spoke out and left us lovely messages in our inbox. We truly appreciate the kind words of support and hope that we can continue to foster this lighthearted community where you can let your muses grow. Monthly Prompt — July

The admin team aims to cultivate a space for writers who love and want to write. We also want Yeonhwa to be a place where you can focus on growing and developing your muse and their connections, while also providing different avenues to complete activity checks. The monthly prompts are not obligatory, but rather a way for you to explore muse development in a freeform manner in relation to the given prompt each month.

The objective for this prompt is to help us understand your muse better, as well as let you dive into their core more.

With the semester ending and the suffocating summer heat rolling in, we thought it would be a good opportunity for your muses to reflect on themselves and their experiences so far at Yeonhwa. In a world growing increasingly unkind and an academic environment that breeds competition, insecurity, and resentment, how do they sustain themselves? What does self-preservation look like for them? What are their long-term goals, and how do they preserve their ambitions? What, who, or where do they find solstice? Who are they when blinding expectations and observant gazes aren't on them?

As mentioned before, you're free to do as you please with this prompt. From an angsty inner monologue to a bullet-point list of headcanons, the ultimate goal is to help us understand who your muse is on a deeper level. The prompt runs the whole month of July. Some of you might have already noticed, but in an effort to make the directory both easier to navigate and to manage, we've moved our pages (clubs, social clubs, sports & housing) to a notion site! The masterlist and the labels will remain as tumblr pages, and we're only going to denote reserves on our pinned list.

We'd also like to introduce the Character Directory, where you can filter by year, program, extracurriculars & housing!

With this, each character now has a little notion page with all their information, which is fully clickable and and more accessible than our old system. If there is anything you would like us to add on your muse's page, let us know! That being said, both admins are pretty new to Notion, so if any member has any idea of what more we can do with the database, please message us with your suggestions.

Another thing, we have slightly modified our activity check rules. We ask that everyone read the following section carefully.

We acknowledge and understand that everyone is busy with real-life matters. Roleplaying is a hobby and, therefore, should not trump your personal priorities. If you know you will be especially busy the week of an activity check, you can put your character on semi-hiatus. Semi-hiatuses last for the period of one AC and requires that you submit one form of activity rather than 3.

Reclaiming your muse after being removed from an AC. We previously allowed muns to reclaim their spot in the RP if they were removed due to inactivity, so long as they messaged us within 24 hours of the dismissed list being posted. We will continue to allow this. However, please note that we are adding a requirement that these muns need to submit one form of activity to our AC blog by the end of Monday night. Failure to do so will result in your removal from the roleplay again. We will not be offering a grace period this time. Therefore, if you would like to rejoin, you must wait one week to reapply.

Hi all! Admin team here with an important announcement regarding the Activity Check. With many of our members reaching out for hiatuses or asking for help with the AC due to busy schedules, we feel it would be inconsiderate to everyone if we did not address it. The admin team is aware that this is a particularly busy time for everyone. We believe that roleplaying should be a hobby and should never trump in real-life matters, which is why our goal for the roleplay was always to be a relaxing and easygoing space for people to write.

That being said, we have decided to call off this week's AC to give our members a small reprieve. Thank you to those who have already submitted, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will still proceed with posting the Halloween event over the weekend in case members would like to get some new threads out during this small break.

Please note that though we will be canceling this week's AC, tomorrow, the admin team will go through the hiatus list and remove those who have not shown activity a week after their hiatus ends.

Hello again everyone.

We apologize for posting another announcement so soon after our previous one. However, we want to take a moment to address something that’s recently been brought to our attention. Given the situation, we believe it is pertinent to reiterate some of our guidelines.

Firstly, we understand that it is challenging to interact with every single muse here. However, we want to remind everyone that bubble roleplaying is strictly prohibited.

In the same vein, while you are never required to interact with members you don’t feel comfortable with, we do ask that you do not block each other. A mutual follow is the minimum we expect, as it ensures inclusivity and keeps the group running smoothly.

As stated in our guidelines, we expect all members to treat each other with respect. This is a baseline of trust we hold everyone to, and it’s important for maintaining a safe and collaborative environment.

If this behavior continues, we will unfortunately have no choice but to dismiss those who cannot uphold this expectation.

Hi all! The admin team would first like to thank everyone for an amazing opening week and first activity check. We've thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone's interactions on the dash!

In an effort to balance our ratio of female to male muses, we are offering an incentive to current and future members who have female muses. We will be offering every female muse a one-time coupon to be exempt from an Activity Check of their choosing. This incentive will be distributed until the ratio is balanced; however, the coupon does not have an expiration date. This means that you can save and use your coupon even if we stop offering the incentive.

To be clear, we want to affirm that we are so incredibly grateful to everyone who has decided to join Yeonhwa Krp, regardless of their muse. Thank you again for all the support, and let us know if you have any questions!
