DGM: Silent Hill AU

Few months back I thought how cool it would be if there was a Silent Hill AU with D.Gray-man characters. I searched it up, but couldn't find anything already existing. In my disappointment I thought, "too bad, it could have worked so well if... DAMN." I don't really need any more pet projects, but this one kinda planned itself out.

Don’t know if I have time to actually do anything with the concept, so I’ll share some of my musings:

Monsters could be based on Noahs and the attributes they represent. They could be born or morphed from the insecurities/fears/suppressed memories of the human characters, just like in most Silent Hill games.

Allen, Kanda, Lenalee and Lavi would meet up in Silent Hill, everyone ending up there for their own personal reasons. Their scenarious could be based on those of original Silent Hill protagonists, but turn into something different and unique.

Allen would be sitting in a car driven by Cross, until Cross would lose control of the vehicle and they’d crash at the side of the road. Allen would later wake up from his seat with Cross nowhere to be found, being forced to venture in the Silent Hill to find his missing guardian.

Kanda would be getting a letter from his long-dead friend/lover/???, Alma, asking Kanda to meet him at Silent Hill.

Lenalee would be shopping at the nearby mall, when stange people would come looking for her and the place would turn into a nightmarish version of the original mall. Lenalee’s first goal would be to get home to her brother Komui, until she too would be pulled to Silent Hill.

Lavi would wake up in his apartment, only to find his door chained and his window shut. He would be trapped in with no way out except a strange hole in his bathroom’s wall, which would take him to Silent Hill and back.

Lots of other character cameos (Silent Hill characters turned into DGM characters) and references to Silent Hill games

Feel free to ask me about other character and the roles I’d like to put them in xD Also about possible story scenarios.

Feel free to make your own version of this AU or use my existings ideas. If there’s already some other DGM Silent Hill AU I have missed, I hope to check it out too!

I like it, but maybe Lavi and Lenalee should switch, imprisonment affected Lenalee's mind harshly, so I think she'd be more motivated to leave her apartment. Lavi could be in a library when he realises that the layout is completely different than what he remembered and end up in Silent Hill

Oooh, that COULD work! Might work very well in case the plots are totally different from the ones in Silent Hill games. I really like the idea of library as a setting. Depending on what kind of shit ends up pulling Lavi to the silent hill, that could be taken practically anywhere.

If more plot elements are pulled from the games, then the mall scenario (SH3) definitely fits Lenalee better. It would include people coming to get her and practically forcing her to Silent Hill against her will, and Komui’s importance can also be tied to it really well. SH4′s home scenario and plot elements are the most difficult to turn into something else, so it would probably encounter most changes in general. It fits Lavi since it deals with a hermit-like person, which would work with Lavi’s supposed objectivism. Also being able to leave and return to certain environments in Silent Hill, according to his own will, could support his bystander’s stance--until something makes him want to abandon it.

I was also considering setting up a SH5′s scenario and mixing Link with the m4, but I’d really like to give Link Cybil and Douglas’ roles both (a cop who meets the protagonist--Allen--in SH1 and a detective who has been searching for protagonist--Lenalee--in SH3) or something that’s based on them :D He fits as someone who would end up fighting by their side rather than trying to deal with his own problems.
