outch Hoshino just announced on instagram that her right hand got injuried ;;; her dominant hand... gaaah poor Hoshino ;; i hope the pain eases soon and she can recover, it sucks it happened again ;;; i worry for her at this point she's already stressed enough to not have to worry about that on top of that ;;;

EDIT: Her injury seems to not be too serious and she believes she will have recovered soon. With luck, it’s only just her old injury coming back and she managed to keep it under controle. Sorry for the panic the post alone may have started.

DGM Update

Ah! Hello, it’s Admin Ammy! That is a slightly misleading title, sorry not sorry. There may or may not be a DGM update coming up soon. Dunno yet. Just... we’re getting down to the wire, and I am salty and want to address an issue.

Every single time we get an update (or don’t), I see complaints.

If we do get an update, it’s always “the chapter wasn’t long enough” or “the chapter was only this many pages long when it could’ve been that many pages long” or things along those lines. (when the real issue is where tf is Lavi and when does Allen get to kick Neah’s ass into the next century?)

And if we don’t get a new chapter, it’s always complaining about how we’re going on hiatus again or how inconsistent the schedule is for new content and, yes, on occasion I see people complaining about Hoshino herself (which is another issue in and of itself but we’ll get to that).

And I just want to say... this has been an issue for a looong time. The updates being so far apart, the chapters sometimes being really short, and the regular, unexpected hiatuses. That’s old news. I understand that for some of the newer fans, it is a new thing, but some of the people I see complaining, I know have been fans long enough to be accustomed to this.

(Oh, and, uh. Hoshino doesn’t owe us jack squat, so if she doesn’t want to put out a new chapter, that’s her choice. She’s got a life and her own health to worry about, and we can just get over it. Speaking of her health, that’s one reason for everything else that goes on with the manga itself. Just FYI for those who didn’t know. So stop complaining about her. She did nothing wrong.)

Look. I know it’s tiring. Hell, I even walked away from DGM for several years because the hiatuses made me crazy, but I got over it.

So I just wanna say. Please don’t complain when the new issue comes out (Oct. 4, I think?) regardless of whether we get a new chapter or not. Just think happy thoughts! Because you know what? We get to read this amazing manga in the first place!
