part of me feels like corvo wouldn’t be making many jokes in dh1 but on the other hand humor is a coping mechanism and corvo is very sarcastic as it is

also look his BFF status with slackjaw had to come from somewhere and i’d like to think it was partially because they snarked at each other a lot. slackjaw seems the type to appreciate that.

fic update: my new favorite thing is dh1-era corvo forgetting how to tact and snarking at the outsider and then going FUCK I’M DEAD NOW AREN’T I

cause he’s naturally very sarcastic and prison probably made him forget how to hold his tongue, and the outsider needs to be sassed at

for his part im sure the outsider just thinks its amusing to be snarked at like he’s not this big terrifying eldritch being -- and eventually probably join in right back instead of being Aloof and Judgey

on todays episode of “weird things to notice and fuss over while rewatching dishonored”

why is everyone just so casually talking about corvo assassinating people like he has no problem with this? like. they’re all like “oh yeah assassination, assassin stuff, yep” and callista straight up says like

"do you think you could protect him? you used to do that, right? before you had your current profession, before you became an assassin"

like. when the hell did he stop being lord protector, why is this profession switch so like...Official and Uncontested. this sounds so weird. idk i just. what. huh. //flals.

honestly that second point makes it even more disappointing they didn’t alter the model but also, i feel you on gratuitous shirtlessness

yeah, i mean....you never see anything of corvo through 90% of the game but his hands/wrists so it wouldn’t have been that hard to just have a bare-wrist model for the first chapter.....

(and i mean they explicitly say he was being tortured Right Before you get control again so....how is he clothed.....harvey....)

@ dishonored team was it rly that hard to animate corvo in a prison uniform/shirtless at least for the short amount of playtime it takes to get out of coldridge? 

im just saying, it makes me laugh to think they just chucked him in a cell for 6 months and let him keep his fancy clothes
