I couldn’t help myself. Between seeing how inexpensive these were and seeing how CUTE this art style was, I just HAD to buy some!

Plus ever since making Duncan’s look, I’ve been dying to have a commission of him! And LOOK AT HOW CUTE THEY MADE RUBY ALSDKFJADLK

Okay, so first and foremost, the artist of these lovely pieces of artwork is @kq-yo / @illusiadream. Ruby was $5 and Duncan’s was $1. I got both of these WITHIN 24 HOURS, guys!

Okay, so a little backstory on who these two characters are...

Ruby (left) is from my WIP, Death Has a Face Novel. She is Ikuisuus’ first love interest and Belinda starts dating her after she learns of Iku’s little crush. Little does she know, she’s dating a woman that kills serial killers (thus the knife and smirk on her face). Squee!

And then Duncan (right) is an elven mage that was adopted by humans and has a crush on Maxie and Ezrah, his best friends. He is a transgender male and is a total sweetheart. Anton (Val’s character) was the one that first introduced him to the idea that he was an elf and eventually became the person he came to about elf issues and magic problems.

Happy TbTT! (it's 11:56 here but oh well lol) Have you ever found your universes converging, or at the very least starting to seem like at least a couple stories could have happened in the same universe, at either the same or different times?

It’s okay, it’s only 9:58pm here. I decided to start early this week so that tomorrow at work, I won’t have sending these asks out on my mind xD sorry if that post you made was about asks/my ask. Death Has a Face/Novel, Origins of the Hybrid Species and Humanity’s Demon/2.0 all take place in the same world, so yes. I have written stories that take place technically in the same world, letalone universe.

Character Intro: Ruby

Ruby is briefly mentioned in her WIP. She is a sweet and innocent-looking redhead, but there is a fire that burns deep within her that she doesn’t allow anyone to see until they get close... and boy do her and Belinda get close.

Full Name: Ruby (haven’t given her a full name yet)

Age: 36

Gender: cis female (she/her)

Appearance: bright red hair that looks like fire and bright green eyes the glisten when she’s happy or laughing. She walks with a confidence that will make anyone’s head turn

Personality: Ruby is a sweet-looking girl with a fire inside. She like to act sweet and innocent, but if you look closely, you can see the fire in her eyes, spreading through her soul. She is cocky and likes to giggle. She’s pretty flirty and likes to blush, though it isn’t easy to make her do so.

Likes: flirting, making people look at her, acting innocent

Dislike: people that can see through her facade

Reasons I Love Death Has a Face Novel

Okay so as per this post, I am doing a "reasons I love __" series in which I talk about why I love my WIPs and characters. I'm taking my OC page and using that as my guide for what order to write about characters. I skipped the rp/OHS characters for now, though, since I talk about them the most.

So! I've already talked about the WIP Iku is from (DHaF), Belinda, Ikuisuus, Juma and Chippy. Now all that's left from the DHaF/N stories is Ruby, but since she's only in the novel, I'm going to talk about the novel first.

Yes, these two are basically about the same characters, but since the novel takes place way before Iku got Chippy, he isn't in it. Also, this novel follows the girls' friendship instead of Belinda's part of the death/afterlife process.

So, without further ado, here is why I love DHaFN.

seeing the girls' friendship and what they do when Iku comes to earth is so much fun

The Halloween scene... enough said

seeing Iku with a crush is just... too much

seeing Belinda betray Iku by dating her first crush in front of her very eyes... sad but they worked through it

Belinda's "serial-killer"dar

you get to see a lot more sweet moments. The novel is much less centered around death and much more around friendship & relationships between the girls

there's a lot more Juma in the novel than there was in the story

lol yes I do make AUs. LLS is an alternate reality to DHaF/N. It’s the 2nd alternate universe to the universe. In the 1st alternate universe, Ikuisuus is the goddess and Belinda is the reaper.

Also, Val and I created an AU for our roleplay world.

I’m sorry, but the Halloween chapter is still my favorite chapter of DHaFN. Knowing that the reaper is afraid of something that I’m afraid of? I love it!
