The Kissing Booth, Part I

This is a little um... simulation/otome game I’m writing a script for. ;) and yes, the people involved are my characters because I’m that obsessed with my babies.

So! First of all, the game begins with you getting +4 relationship points for whoever you want. You can only add +2 to a single character. And Kyle & Victoria are off limits. The characters you can add points to are: Maxie, Ikuisuus, Belinda, Luka, Jason and Clarissa ;)

So first of all, make sure you choose who you want to add points to and how many points. Remember FOUR total and only TWO per person tops!

For a while now, the coffee shop has been booming, but you’d never guess it because the owner of the shop doesn’t seem to understand the concept of investing in order to make more money.

Luckily, our regulars are very thoughtful and loyal, but with horrible equipment, I’m not so sure they will keep coming. Even the most loyal customers have a breaking point.

I pull my collegaues aside one day and tell them, “This is ridiculous. We need to do something about our equipment or we’ll be out a job.” They all exchange a look before one of my favorite coworkers, Maxie as people call him, pulls me aside.

“Look... we’ve all been saving up to buy this stand-” As if seeing the shock on my face, he added, “We didn’t know how you’d feel. We wanted to wait til we had more money and it was a more solid thing before we... got you involved.” I opened my mouth to reply but had no idea what to say.

“There’s only... one things,” he said awkwardly, glancing back at the other baristas, who all egged him on. His hesitation was driving me nuts.

“What? What is it?” He licked his lips, glancing at me apologetically. “Um... well, we still need some more money...” he hesitated again and I started to get impatient.

“So...?” He paused. “Uh, some of the others suggested... a kissing booth...” he said in a mumble, face turning a little red. “But, y’see... the rest of us are in committed relationships, so-”

“So you were hoping I would be the one kissing...” I finished for him; his cheeks went from a little pink to scarlet.

“I’m sorry, it wasn’t my-”

“I’ll do it.” His head shot up to meet mine in his surprise. “I... I beg your pardon?” He stammered, trying to make sense of my reaction.

“Why are you so surprised?” I asked, arms crossed. “Who you work with is more important than where you work,” I said simply. He still seemed unsure how to reply.

“You sure?” He asked after a bit.

The Kissing Booth/Kyle Storyline, Part I

The player clicks on Kyle’s option.

Tall, dark, beautiful. When he comes by himself, he is quiet and keeps to himself. I think the most I’ve been able to get out of him when by himself is like one word other than his order.

But sometimes he comes in with a teenaged girl that I can only hope is his daughter because she calls him daddy and he doesn’t come across as the type with a daddy kink. I’m also pretty sure he is gay or bi because she has talked about a papa and his whole demeanor changes.

From what I have gathered, he is divorced, though why you would want to divorce someone that sexy, I’ll-

“Hello?” A voice snapped me back to reality. “Oh! Hi! I apologize. The usual?” I asked the pair I was just thinking about, who were now at the counter. When did they get here? How did they slip in without me noticing and why didn’t I hear my friend or Maxie greet them?

“Yes, please,” the girl confirmed, tossing a bill on the counter. I went to grab her change but she told me to keep it. I stared at the bill in my hand and then glanced at her.

“You sure? This is-” She put her hand up with a smile. “It’s fine. You’ve been wonderful every time we come in, but um, sorry, not trying to be rude but we’re in a hurry...” My eyes widened further, my face flushing as I became a bit flustered by the generosity and sudden change of topic to their hurry. “Of course! I’m so sorry!”

I rushed into action, gathering materials and ingredients, pouring cold brew, creating the perfect coffee for my favorite customers. My coworker, who’s also my best friend who also got me into the company, snickered from where they stood.

Kyle was about to say something to the girl when Maxie walked in, not in uniform. He was obviously here as a customer and not to work, especially since he wasn’t on the schedule for the day.

“Uncle Kyle! Elise! Hey, sorry I’m late.” Uncle? Now this was new information. I listened while they chatted about their plans for the day. I made a beautiful rose in her foam and then slid it over to her along with a lid so that she could take her daily photo of the foam before placing the lid and grabbing a couple of straws.

“Thanks!” She called, turning to go but I gave Maxie a look and he immediately knew what the look was referring to.

“Hey, uncle, cousin... I asked you two to come here for a reason,” he said quickly, trying to capture their attention and bring it back to me. My face flushed slightly. Kyle looked confused, as did Elise.

“What?” Kyle asked simply, not a man for wasting words. Maxie glanced at me. “Um, we’re putting on a little event.” He nodded encouragingly at me, making Kyle and Elise’s attention turn to me.

“Um, yeah... we’re trying to raise some money,” I said simply, not wanting to go into too much detail. Instead, I took a paper that I’d hidden behind the counter and placed it face down on the counter. “It’s uh... for us,” I said vaguely. “Take a look at the poster. See if you’d like to come.” Now I was staring at Kyle, face turning a little pink.

I’d noticed there were very few people that he kept eye contact with. But it wasn’t in like a lack of confidence kind of way. It was more like... he didn’t want anyone to see into his soul. It gave him a mysterious air that made me want him even more.

He was watching Maxie’s face, studying it closely, then took the paper and turned it over to look at it, then glanced at Elise, who was on her tiptoes, peering at it over her shoulder. She glanced up at Kyle with a smile and then giggled. “Count us in,” she said simply, shoving her father toward the door. “We’ll see you there,” she sing-songed with a wink.

Maxie glanced at me with a smirk and then disappeared out of the room with the two of them.

I was left there, tingly and numb at the same time. Did... my crush’s daughter just figure out I had a crush on him... and encourage it? I... was speechless.

My friend bust out laughing once they were gone.

“What are you going to do?” They asked. “Now that you know Kyle’s coming, I’ll bet you’re gonna way overdress just to try to impress him.” Their eyes were gleaming at me in laughter while they continued to wipe down the same spot on the counter they’d been working on since the family entered the store.

“I think that spot is clean by now. There are other places to clean,” I retorted, but I couldn’t help thinking they had a point... what was I going to wear?

To impress Kyle, I could only assume the best way to impress him would be to dress in...

Kyle would be more of a genre. I see him loving metal & hard rock. Probably the kind of metal that like... makes your heart pound and sounds super angry and roary but when you actually listen to (or read for those that can’t understand metal screams) the lyrics, you realize it’s a beautiful love song. Totally a Kyle thing. He seems angry on the outside but is so full of love for those that are close to him.

Maxie would be softer music. Stuff that makes you relax. Actually, that song, The Sound of Silence, but Disturbed’s version... yeah, that’s a total Maxie song.

And then Mary... um... I don’t have a Mary. (: Mary is Jasper and Marcy’s sister but that’s my friend Val’s character. Did you happen to mean Marcy?

Maxie, hands down. He’s already a beautiful man. He’d probably wear something lacey or else super frilly and red with pink.

I’ve never actually seen Rue Paul’s drag race, so I don’t really know anything about it, but I hope that’s a good answer...? Sorry if not.

I couldn’t help myself. Between seeing how inexpensive these were and seeing how CUTE this art style was, I just HAD to buy some!

Plus ever since making Duncan’s look, I’ve been dying to have a commission of him! And LOOK AT HOW CUTE THEY MADE RUBY ALSDKFJADLK

Okay, so first and foremost, the artist of these lovely pieces of artwork is @kq-yo / @illusiadream. Ruby was $5 and Duncan’s was $1. I got both of these WITHIN 24 HOURS, guys!

Okay, so a little backstory on who these two characters are...

Ruby (left) is from my WIP, Death Has a Face Novel. She is Ikuisuus’ first love interest and Belinda starts dating her after she learns of Iku’s little crush. Little does she know, she’s dating a woman that kills serial killers (thus the knife and smirk on her face). Squee!

And then Duncan (right) is an elven mage that was adopted by humans and has a crush on Maxie and Ezrah, his best friends. He is a transgender male and is a total sweetheart. Anton (Val’s character) was the one that first introduced him to the idea that he was an elf and eventually became the person he came to about elf issues and magic problems.

My OCs: Obey Me!, Part I

Here is the first post about which Obey Me! brother my OCs would go for/like the most if they were to play the game.

For those that don’t know who or what I’m talking about, I did make an explanation post, which you can view here.

Okay, so for the first 6 characters to kick this thing off, I’m going to do the following:

Kyle: of course I always, always have to start with my favorite little hybrid. He would probably go for Mammon with the promise to spoil him financially. That or he’d go for Beel, and again, he would spoil the shit out of him. He would buy Beel all of the best foods that hell has to offer.

Ikuisuus: Iku would probably go for Lucifer. As long as he doesn’t try to get away with bossing her around the way he does his brothers. If he tried to pull that crap, she’d immediately switch to Satan and help him out with pissing Luci off as like retaliation xD

Belinda

Maxie

Marcus: Marc would probably go for Asmo or Luci. He loves to flirt, but Asmo is pretty self-obsessed (but then again, so is Marcus)... I really feel he’d make a fun fit with Asmo. ;)

Jasmine: She would probably go for Asmo too. And then it’d be a whole competition between siblings (her and Marcus) to see who gets him first and who hears “I love you first” and who gets the biggest score for his affections.

Alright, so that was six characters. Maxie and Belinda were crossed out because Belinda is not into guys and the only guy Maxie has ever been into romantically or sexually is Ezrah, so unless Ezrah like... pushed him to play out of curiosity of who he’d go for, I don’t see Maxie playing.

Just gonna tag @missionkitty since you gave me the idea and @magic-is-something-we-create since it’s been so long since I’ve really posted about my babies and you are always excited when you see me post about them. ^_^;;
