Y’all remember when we were sixteen and documented everything on the internet because we didn’t have therapy or any reliable coping mechanisms irl??
We’re twenty now, in therapy, and got a psychiatrist - we’re talking about anxiety medications and we’ve been journaling.
Haven’t been posting much because we’re learning to be alive instead of associating our existence with words on a screen.
Plus we’ve got a whole circle of absolutely amazing friends and I love them all so much, life doesn’t end in your teens and your entire life is not defined by who you were as a kid.
Healing is a weird pathway and some days it still feels just as dark, especially when we get stressed and paranoid, but we’re surviving and getting somewhere. That matters.
