Today's my birthday and I'd like to share a new comic with you, it's called Marginalia. It's a love letter to all the weirdness of medieval manuscripts, and you can read it by unfolding a single sheet of paper!
Risograph print editions are also available in my shop.

I practice calligraphy on and off but my job doesn't allow me to bring in a metal ruler, I was wondering what books do you use with the grid lines?
Uhh I'm sorry but I'm struggling to understand the question, might be my brain fried by sleep deprivation.
If you're asking me what kind of Notebooks I use to write I generally love Fabriano's. They have good paper and they come in a variety of styles and sizes - from blank, to 4mm squares (like the one you can sometime see here) to dotted grid to lines and both A5 and a4 -.

I'm only saying this for your sake, but objectively, it's not a smart idea to bring politics into normal hobbies. You might lose supporters of your blog just because of your political stance, and that would be terrible since you're so amazing!! It's only a suggestion, but I really reccomend not bringing politics into anything.

Small update: I bought one of those backlit tablets to help me do calligraphy on blank paper and it's working wonderfully! I'm so happy
Not having to draw reference lines every time (and then go through the ordeal of erasing them) is so refreshing.
I'm planning on getting back into commissions and emptying the ask box, so if you want me to write something or make a card out of some quote just write me an inbox, I'll be happy to work my way through it and get some needed practice!

once a year i treat myself to a handful of fancy inks, here are the additions to the roster:
Definitely Peachy
I mainly bought this one to have a base colour for skintones when I'm doing marginalia of little people, i have a few shades of brown to mix with to get a range of skintone, but up to this point every time I've needed something lighter I've had to custom blend a peachtone. not anymorreeee

okokay i KNOW i already own a shimmer magenta but a) it looks so pretttyyyyy and b) i wanted the commemorative bottle, i am a weak weak, art gremlin

I don't actually have any inks with a sheen completely different from the base! this has a red sheen that just peeks through which looks super neat, plus I wanted a superdark green anyways since I've got a superdark blue (jellybean) already
Damn I always wanted to put my hands on some ferris wheel, that green looks wicked. Gorgeous.
