Honestly? As he is right now he'd probably start talking about chemicals in the brain that create intense feelings, since he's never actually experienced it himself beyond a suppressed sense of longing from the stories in his novels or the poetry of a person overcome with it. He wants to experience it someday...but feels that it's highly unlikely for him. He's always lived with the knowledge that his mother will have a suitable partner set up for him post graduation - a woman, needless to say - and he'd carry on his family name from there. At this point, he hasn't felt anything for anyone so he hasn't explored the idea of going against that.

🥀 - Do they handle breakups well?
No. He would not. Because Riddle would not enter into a relationship until he's able to full trust the other person and feel as though they won't abandon him, I think he'd take part in that relationship with forever in mind. He's a deeply sensitive, deeply romantic person with many unstable relationships in his life - many being his own fault. A breakup after such a large leap of faith for him - because that's what dating would be - would send him spiraling. There isn't much else to say on that subject. It would be bad.
