Ginny Weasley died in the Chamber of Secrets, so that Tom Marvolo Riddle could live. A 16 year old Tom ran, and went into hiding. Ginny and the Chamber were never found; so, Hogwarts was closed and the students were sent elsewhere.

Five years have passed since then and Hermione has just started her 7th year at Ilvermorny. Her last year was supposed to be one to remember. It would be one to remember, of course, specifically because of the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher.

She sighed. “I just think… maybe you should take your own advice and try to solve this problem with love, not destruction. You don’t have to destroy a Horcrux. You can heal it.” “You speak of remorse,” Dumbledore didn’t sound impressed. “If I may, I see very little chance of convincing Voldemort to feel empathy for the things he has done –” “Not Voldemort,” she interrupted. “Tom.” “You are suggesting that we use Voldemort’s first Horcrux to reanimate sixteen-year-old Tom Riddle.” Dumbledore’s tone left much to be desired.

I'm looking for this tomione fic where Hermione talks with Tom in the Room of Requirements. Its not strangeness and charm. Tom is a minister (?) and time doesn't work at the same speed. Thanks!

My ask was answered on Dec 9th but you guys didn't find the fic I was looking for. I was actually able to find it on my old FFnet accounts favorites list and wanted to share it with you all! It's called A Love Through Time by Kalia Clyde, and I was definitely mixing up some things, but I wasn't able to find it on any of your lists, so again, just thought I'd share! Thanks so much for being here, it's been a great help!
