Imagine Batman, your son is having a fling with his patrol partner, she's the commisioner's daughter, you know she got his back and great life values.

Then you have a fight with your son.

The two of you are unable to stay in touch, too much to digest.

And then, you receive a wedding annoucement, your daughter in law is an alien taller than you, space amazonians, with nothing against lethal solution when it's necessary, and she's eating UV like your best friend. The worst ? You are physically unable to mistrust her she's the nicest person you ever met.

Why Babs tells you she's kissing her so much only to teach her code ?

Before dickkoribabs all got together Bruce once told Babs that "the alien is just a phase."

Well Clark, Bruce's best friend and later husband found out.

Clark and Kori never let any of them live it down.

Kori turns towards Clark in the middle of a family dinner. "It's exhausting getting two bats through their alien phase."

Clark sighs in agreement. "If you need help I've been getting the original through his on and off over the years and I've helped raised one of yours."

Bruce proposes. Clark stares and says, "You're still not done with your alien phase? Do I have to sign a prenup? Or do I get alimony?"

Kori finds out she's pregnant. She announces it to the family by asking Clark, "How much child support do you think I'll get when Richard and Barbara are done with their raising alien babies phase?"

Clark and Kori ending arguments by saying. "That's okay, I'm just a phase anyway."

It gets worse when Shayera and J'onn find out and they side with Clark and Kori.

Shayera would ask at the end of a founders meeting. "Hey batsy when the alien phase is over with can I just hide my wings?"

J'onn starts transforming into different looking humans. "If any of these work for when the phase is over with let me know."

Bruce tries to rant to Alfred one time. There was no sympathy.

"Master Bruce it's just a phase. You'll be over it in no time."

Bruce and Gordon want Dick and Babs to date again and frankly Clark does not.

Now don't get Clark wrong he's not blind. He sees the potential they have, and he remembers those few years where it seemed like they would be the once in a generation couple whose first love was their last. If Dick and Babs were both single then Clark really wouldn't care.

But Dick isn't single and Kori does not deserve to have her relationship messed with like that. Bruce is gonna hold a grudge against him for this but Clark did go through years of teaching and bonding with Kori for him to stand by while his best friend tried to orchestrate her heartbreak.

"Bruce and Commissioner Gordon want Dick and Barbara to date."

Kori looks up from her drink, a grin on her face. "Wonderful! It will be nice to have another opinion on my plans other then Jason and Stephanie."

Clark stares at his friend. "I'm sorry Kori did I not say that right?" Clark pauses thinking how to reword it. " They want your boyfriend to date another girl."

Kori nods. "And so do I. Richard wants to date both me and Barbara but fears upsetting me. Barbara wants to date Richard and I but doesn't want to ruin our relationship. And I want to date both of them but they are both stubborn."

Kori huffs dropping her head into her hands. "On Tamaran this would not be so difficult."

This caught Clark's attention. "I'm guessing relationships aren't so monogamous then on Tamaran."

"Love is a precious thing. We believe you can love one or many. My own knorfka Galfore was in a relationship with my parents before they passed."

"And marriage?"

Kori bit her lip trying to think of the words. "Marriage is for alliances and. . . leagal benefits."

Clark nodded taking a sip of his drink.

Kori shrugs, "Besides if I am dating both Richard and Barbara then that will make it harder for Bruce to keep denying his feelings for you."

Clark spat out his drink
