1 Dickon - The Secret Garden (Okay but I can trace basically the entire trajectory of my life to Dickon and vaguely more broadly to Andrew Knott, pretty sure I just imprinted on him and that’s why all my big loves are pretty eyed actors)
2. Matilda / Miss Honey - Matilda (Matilda was the first time 1. I realized acting was a thing and kids could be actors 2. adoption was something I wanted in my life (first begging a little sister to be adopted for me, now knowing that adoption is how I’m meant to become a mom) 3. Miss Honey gave me feelings I would not recognize til later, but like many of us queer ladies, Miss Honey was my first crush on a woman and based on the casting for the remake this crush gonna continue!|)
3. Neil Perry - Dead Poets Society (IT WAS A FLASHLIGHT, definitely a place where my life made a turn that put me on a path I didn’t expect, honourable mention to Mr Keating, for his heart and hilarity)
4. Eggsy Unwin - Kingsman series (another place where my life made a turn I didn’t expect, but for the first time I actually LIKED an action hero, he got to be soft and kind and still kick ass, honourable mention to Roxy Morton (WHO IS FINE IT WAS ALSO SOMEHOW A FLASHLIGHT) for being kickass and kind and not being made into a love interest but left as Eggsy’s best mate)
5. Piper - Ten Inch Hero (her wit and heart and what she goes through seared me to my soul. Honourable mention to literally everyone in this whole movie (NOT YOU TAD AND BRAD, NOT YOU, A FOR EFFORT GETS TO BE INCLUDED HERE BUT NOT YOU TWO DICKS), and it is my absolute fave for a reason, also I got to stand near Elisabeth Harnois for a day and it took all in me to not burst out with my admiration and adoration)
