Hell Creek Floodplain Forest
okay so i was browsing through old files and realised i never posted this cube diorama of a floodplain forest in Hell Creek done for one of #Paleostream's older art challenges in 2022

Utahraptor ostrommaysi and Didelphodon vorax.
Although albinism gives animals a magnificent appearance, their pure white coats can also land them in danger.
This Didelphodon unfortunately picked the wrong time to exit its burrow. At the same time, a young male Utahraptor just happened to be passing through the area. Although the Didelphodon was slippery, ducking and weaving to avoid tooth and claw, the Utahraptor soon caught up to it. It was unfortunate to see the end of such a beautiful animal, but judging by its size, this Didelphodon was remarkably long-lived for an animal with its mutation.
Auduna my achillobator oc was once called "The blood reaper"
Of how much blood spill she left behind every meal, and how grusome the attacks was:3
04/03/2025 Didelphodon
Dinovember day 25!! @1dinodaily This curious dromaeosaur accidentally wanders too close to a very angry Didelphodon.
Earlier this month I broke my artist block by watching one of my favorite shows of all time, Walking with Dinosaurs (1999). This is certainly one of my core medias. The VHS copy I had also came with a CD-ROM and I still remember the narrator exclaiming 'the dinosaurs are turning in their graves' when my preteen self got the branches of the evolutionary tree wrong.
Maybe this is why I still love taxonomy so much. To prove that BBC voiceover wrong.
Anyway, with this most recent DVD binge I challenged myself to quick sketch the creatures while they were on screen, dedicating a page per episode. These are snippets of my favorites and I might flesh out a few later on.
Which is your favorite? Mine is the sultry stego.
Hell Creek Formation Diorama poster
An amazing diorama illustrating the environment from the Hell Creek Formation. It features its most famous resident, Tyrannosaurus Rex.
