impressions of strangeview 👽✨ - caliente-curious round 2
< previous | next >
She might've been a good actress or she just genuinely wanted one more baby, but when she turned on the waterworks even a mean little goblin like Diego couldn't help feeling bad.
He couldn't understand why this matters to her so much, considering how she feared commitment. He still didn't want a big family, either. But he was willing to compromise and say "maybe" just to make her calm down.
Of course, they did end up having a woohoo anyway. Cause that's definitely a totally healthy way to deal with issues in your marriage.
Calvin kept rolling wants to train Constance in everything while Cassandra only managed to get some snuggles.
The girls each brought home a friend who seemed more interested in getting to know one another rather than the Goths.. interesting...
Morella found a new love of science and managed to keep Victor alive so far...
Before he left for the day, Diego decided to promote Sandy and make her his right hand in the store. He wanted someone to take care of it whenever he can't be around and she seemed the best qualified for this job.
Chloe was also working hard on her TV show roles and she was gaining a lot of popularity thanks to her quirky personality on screen.
While she was out, Diego took the opportunity to teach his son how to walk and help him roam more freely around the house. Goodbye privacy!
Chloe's Corner was a simple idea for Diego. His wife was an aspiring actress, whose entire career revolved around TV shows. If people were to see her, they needed TVs. It was a collaboration of his business and her popularity.
This time Diego invested in women instead. They had solid qualifications and he felt like they'd fit more to Chloe's Corner than your usual smartass tech guys with their attitudes. The girls he hired even brought him additional benefits and contacts - something even Malcolm never offered him on friendly terms.
Next day, Diego tried to have a reasonable discussion with Malcolm about the little argument they had with Dina. He hoped his business partner would take care of his grumpy wife and give him some advice for saving the club while they're at it. Unfortunately, Malcolm was useless with both of those things.
Since Malcolm wasn't going to cooperate out of fear for Dina's fury and Diego really wanted to have a successful business to learn the trade, he decided to take matters in his own hands and end the partnership with the Landgraabs.
He sold the Last Simoleon to the city and with the money he got from it, he paid off the condo and managed to buy a nice little community lot in Pleasantview he named "Chloe's Corner" for his new retail idea.
(Side note from me: I hate playing with entertainment/ticket based business in this game with a burning passion and while I thought owning a club for the story purposes was a good idea at first, I quickly grew to deeply hate even going to that lot. I enjoy simple retail businesses much more and so does Diego now.)
Diego survived the whole evening of Don's yapping and even though he knew they will not be business partners, he much preferred his company to Malcolm's. It wouldn't hurt to hang out together more often and get to know each other better.
Nina still couldn't help being the big sister and getting a little nosy with Diego and Chloe's life, but she made sure not to push anything on them anymore. She was impressed with how well they've been doing despite their wilder lifestyle and decided to trust them.
Of course, the week at the Caliente condo wouldn't end properly without some fun in bed. They deserved a celebratory woohoo after surviving another week without a divorce or any other calamity.
The next round, conveniently, goes just next door to the Lotharios.
Don still bugged Diego for the entire evening and tried to slither at least a little bit in his in-law's interests. He had no friends in the neighbourhood, but Diego couldn't help thinking Don really wants to kiss him so bad.
Meanwhile, Chloe still wasn't sure how far can she go with Nina when it comes to talking shit about the Landgraabs. She knew the sisters are close and didn't want to say something wrong about Dina without making sure it's safe. Luckily for her, Nina knew her sister can be a pain in the ass now that she was the big Mrs. Landgraab and didn't mind gossiping about her family behind her back.
