So I was up for a jog with my friends and our brothers. One of my friends sibling was born with a limp (one leg is taller and the other is shorter). We were on our way back and there's this man that is also running at the other side of the road stopped and looked at the kid and said "Kid, run properly the road is not that rocky you don't need to be limping!" then he chuckled and we were like just staring at him amused by what he said. Me and my friends was about to talk back at him but the kids said that man always treats them with foods and everything. I was like "okay that is still wrong, it doesn't mean that you gain something from him and he does treat you with goods, he is already allowed to make fun of you. Especially your differences and insecurities." The kid just kept quiet and made a fake smile. I know deep inside it hurts his ego. It is not his fault that he was born with nonidentical length of legs and no one has the right to make fun of it.
I'm just pissed about the fact that people made fun of others because they're different. It doesn't make any difference if you're talking to a kid or an adult, an insult is an insult it was never a funny joke. People should know that belittling others may affect their mental state and they don't have the right to discriminate others especially the grown up ones. It is never good joking about someone's differences and insecurities. It never was and it never will.
