A lot on my mind

I don't know about this summer. I dont know how things will work out. All I know is that I am living it literally day by day. I'm not thinking about the fall. I'm not making plans or setting up schedules for myself.  It's freeing and debilitating at the same time. I don't know how that can be, but it just is.  I don't know if I'm really even enjoying my summer. I'm just taking it as is. The one part I do enjoy is the time I spend with someone. But even that time is fleeting and momentary. It's fit into a couple of hours at night, and a few texts exchanged while I curl up under the covers before bed. I wish it could be more. I wish that it was everything it should be, and that the relationship could receive the attention that it deserves to receive. But it can't.  Summer will come to an end.  Real life will creep in, and I don't know what will happen to me.  But for now I'm going to give living in the moment a try..
