WUKONG MACAQUE AND MK

To probably nobody's surprise

I love all the others of the main gang + Red Son too but THE MONKEY TRIO

Honestly I fully expected to obsess over Macaque I initially but I ended up not at first? Which was weird for me because manipulative antagonist with shadow powers is 100% my kinda character (surprise surprise here I am obsessing three months later)

But I thought he was a one-off and didn't think too hard about him until I re-watched and AGGGGH

I need Macaque and Wukong to be okay I will die if they're not IF EITHER OF THEM DIES AT THE END OF THE SHOW I WILL GO ON A RAMPAGE I CAN'T TAKE IT SJDHRHHHF

Wukong Wukong Wukong BUDDY WUKONG

I actually did not expect to obsess over Wukong OR MK because I generally don't obsess over the good guys?? Granted MK is uhhh potentially not gonna be sitting in that role much longer but even before I got to Season 4 I LOVED him!!

And it took me a minute to come around to Wukong but I actually really like him! He's a guy that does what he thinks is the best thing in any given situation and those decisions are FUELED by trauma and I *love* that

MK is OHHH MK BUDDY

They're all very VERY relatable to me in different ways and everything all of them does is absolutely fueled by trauma and their individual reactions to it and I love dissecting them even though I'm really bad at it

To a degree they all take a 'smile to cover the pain' approach but in VERY DIFFERENT WAYS

Wukong takes a very 'conceal don't let it show' approach (sorry I just heard a Frozen song) and personally I think *he* sees it he just doesn't let anyone *else* see it (I'm bad at character analysis again and my interpretations are littered with headcanons so)

Macaque takes a 'smile about it' approach but in the way that he's just really freaking dramatic about it and is more on the 'I'm gonna smile about it but I'm actually really freaking pissed off' side of things. I tried to piece together a good way to say exactly what I'm trying to get across and I can't do it I'm sorry XD. He vents a lot but also tip toes around the exact problem?? Idk exactly how to put it aaa

MK takes a 'conceal don't feel don't let it show' approach in the way that even when he's alone, out of sight out of mind kinda thing. Which canonically might also be what Wukong does but again my interpretations are covered in headcanons so. But that's why being *forced* to look at it threw him so badly

Anyway enjoy my answer that was way too long for the question and also is probably very inaccurate to the show but shhhh nobody needs to think about that

see the reason i have trouble focusing and staying on task and starting tasks is supposed to be because of my anxiety but my anxiety has been miles better in the past couple months (dont entirely know why though; i think perhaps because i discovered that being social with those im close with actually helps a lot with my mental well-being, which in turn better helps me cope with anxiety) yet i still constantly struggle with, say, coming home from school and starting homework or continuing to do homework when i finish one assignment and must begin another)
