I’m positive I don’t need to convince people of the Flambae=sun imagery. There’s his flames, the way he comforts and harms—sometimes at the same time, the way he always returns, the way he guides his team (I know you’ve heard the voicelines), the way people orbit him, etc. etc. we’ll be here all day

BUT! Might I offer Robert=sky? Obviously, there’s his nickname “blue,” and though the sky can be many colors, it’s usually equated with blue first and foremost

And then there’s what the sky is. It’s protection from radiation, from meteors, from whatever else might be in space. Now, you can argue about that being the atmosphere, but the “sky” is a representation of the atmosphere, a visible manifestation of it, so let’s leave that semantic alone

It is also a provider. As I implied, it regulates the sun, and it also allows for rain and snow. And though it does facilitate terrible storms, too, we can chalk that up to the ferocity Robert shows towards enemies

It’s often been equated to a blanket, and that’s true, but it also gives space to those down below. It’s not oppressive. It’s changing but constant, just like our boy Robert who grows and adapts throughout the story but is always there

The sky represents possibilities. Humans have always looked to the sky for guidance. Some yearned to reach it, some wanted to go further beyond—all because the sky presented itself as a challenge

And if you push through the sky, it gets colder and colder. If you manage to get past that, you’re in a void of darkness… but one illuminated by stars and populated by so many celestial bodies

I’m sure there are many other comparisons, but I’ll leave this off with a final Flambert one: the sky is the sun’s home

they do tiktok trends. ena is very bad at the dances. mizuki pulls on her all the pranks she sees on the app and ena falls for every single one bc her fyp is just hot lesbians, art, and fashion stuff so she doesnt see any of the stupid shit mizuki gets on her fyp

speaking of tiktok, mizuki sends ena like. a crapton of tiktoks. and then she whines and whines when ena shows she hasnt checked them yet and ena is like "THERE MUST BE ONE HUNDRED BY NOW YOU SEND TOO MANY" / "hehe arent you happy i think of you so often? :3" / *shoving the phone in her face* "WHAT ABOUT THIS STUPID ASS VIDEO MADE YOU THINK OF ME?" (it's some trash fr) / "enanan im deeply offended sob sob... i share and you reject me..." / "...... fine let's check together. you're so annoying it's unreal."

after they get together, when they go shopping, mizuki just. walks in the changing rooms with ena. she sits there and talks and talks while ena tries stuff on and mizuki quickly goes, "yeah, looks good. try the other color too. anyway, there's also this other new anime..." and ena is just like. pretending to be annoyed by all the infodumping but she's actually happy mizuki is there with her :3

mizuki likes to bite ena out of nowhere like at complete random. ena is used to it by now but it's weird.

they are stupid and like. shove each other all the time and elbow each other etc. and everyone can tell they're flirting and in love except for them.

once mizuki did ena's make up and purposefully made her look insane and even took pictures like i know that must have happened okay

they text very stupid shit to each other all the time. ena makes a crapton of typos and never fixes any of them and mizuki is the only one who can tell wtf she's on about...

mizuki texts ena a picture of a cat every single time she spots one and goes "omg that's me :3"
