What would you like the plot to be in a hypothetical Knack 3? And what do you predict it could be?
I think I had a dream about something like this and still it would be *way* cool to have an actual massive labyrinth of ancient relic structures to navigate. I want co-op puzzles with Lucas using his grappling hook. And more teleporters. Most players would hate it because it would be a headache and a half to track everything, even with partial maps.
Naturally there would also be Guardians everywhere, and maybe there could be some new-but-ancient types.
And along the way they could find clues to Knack's origin, and to who made him and how many of them there might actually be.
A major thing I noticed in the second game is that Knack has the most power in what happens, naturally because he is the only canon playable character. But often, things like whether and how a puzzle gets solved is left up to Knack, too, which makes sense from a player agency and gameplay standpoint but is rather ehh from a story perspective. To have Lucas or another companion offer possible solutions, and play some physical part in putting things together, would help balance the narrative weight and may help Knack feel less like Atlas. Even something like helping Knack push or lift something when he doesn't have access to enough relics would be adorable.
Even without physical assistance and with single player, they could split up and talk over communicators while you play. Then you can have Lucas scuffle and grunt on the other end of the line, and have him not respond when Knack asks if he's okay >:3

There could also be mini-games where Lucas tries to recall what he learned while helping the Doctor bring Knack to life. Lucas is a huge nerd; he's gotta know something. On the other hand, I can barely remember what I had for breakfast, let alone events from half a decade ago, so maybe he'd misremember some things.
I need some kind of resolution for the goblin plot. Two games, each eight hours or so long at least, and each time the goblins are dropped for some other antagonist. I bet the creators would leave us hanging again in KNACK 3. Sadly, I'm not sure how it could be done anyhow and is a major sticking point in my own story.
And I really wish the duo hadn't just flown off into the night sky on a whim; I wanted to see more of other characters like Ava. I don't remember what her plans were and am experiencing some technical difficulties preventing me from checking.
I also want characters to get into actual serious arguments that threaten their relationships and expose insecurities. I love drama.
