This is one of the shows that really shaped my childhood and it's still defining a lot of my creativity, so it holds a very special place in my heart <3 I plan to make a lot more fanart of it when time allows!

Once again, I have mere headcanons for this particular crossover/AU, but these will be much easier since I know more about Fairy Tail than Genshin Impact. Fairy Tail happens to be my second favorite anime, so this is a very passion-drive contribution for this event. <3

Tai would be a Fire Dragon Slayer. There's no question about it. He and Natsu are very similar, and therefore Tai would be the (less dumb) Natsu in this instance. His appearance would be more like Edolas!Natsu, what with the goggles, but he'd have a rad cape. Tai would always be screaming about friendship in the Fairy Tail guild, so it's perfect for him. He would probably be a little less overpowered, though.
Not to always do this with rivals, but Matt would probably be the Gray to Tai's Natsu. So he'd be using the Ice-Make magic and later Devil Slayer Magic (he'd brag a little about that addition). His backstory would be less angsty than Gray's, but they'd still bicker like the two wizards famously do. Someone would point out that they fight because of fire and ice, and they'd think that's dumb. Matt would not be shirtless all the time and save us all the trouble. Thanks to his Crest, he's stuck in Fairy Tail now, too. Hehe.
Now, I say this because I personally consider Sora to be a badass. She'd get to use the Take Over magic that Mirajane uses, but I'm not sure if she'd specifically use Satan Soul or if she'd use something more lowkey. Basically, she'd get to summon demon powers and would kick butt. She's more motherly than Mirajane (who always seemed sisterly to me), and she's always welcoming people into Fairy Tail.
Izzy seems like he'd use the Archive magic that Hibiki uses, keeping track of information and communicating it to others. However, I can see him in either Fairy Tail (where he yells at Tai to stop burning his books) or Lamia Scale. Heck, I can also see him working for the Magic Council but being friendly with Fairy Tail. He has a good time, reading and sharing information, accidentally giving everyone lectures about the information he found. He's like Levy, and I love that for him.
Mimi strikes me as the Lucy of the Digimon gang. Less yelling, but similar concept. Therefore, I can see her being a Celestial wizard and taking very good care of her spirits. Her Plue would be Palmon. Instead of Fairy Tail, however, I would say she'd be in Mermaid Heel instead. She'd have a great time in there. And she very easily befriends those of other guilds, such as Sora.
Joe is a hard one, but I can say he's the poor fella who gets caught in the middle of big events and is just tired of it all. I'm not sure if he'd actually be a wizard. It would be very funny to me if he was like Gildarts and was just somehow the strongest wizard EVER, but then his magic isn't explained in a way Gen ever remembers and needs to Google. No, but maybe he uses something like Freed's magic (Letter magic) where he can trap people inside things with certain rules. Yeah, let's give him that. Let Joe be a badass. (He'd be in Lamia Scale.)
T.K. has an Exceed I don't make the rules. As for his magic, I can see him accidentally being a Dragon Slayer (second generation) and Matt is still mad about it. Maybe Sky Dragon Slayer? In any case, he got recruited to Blue Pegasus because of the Fedora, and he's the Eve of this AU. This is what he gets for being adorable. He still visits Matt all the time, though. And then hugs Tai first.
Kari strikes me as someone like Sherria who has God Slayer magic for no reason except because she's Kari. Light God Slayer or something, because Kari. She's in Fairy Tail with her brother (to keep an eye on him), and neither of them will explain why she has the magic she has. Blue Pegasus tried to recruit her, but she wanted to stay with her brother. Besides, her and T.K. together would have just taken out the world, so maybe it's better for everyone involved.
