Any recommendations for sites that stream Shabbat services? I’m a potential convert and went browsing YouTube and could tell something was off and checked and the place was messianic. Kept looking and messianic services were everywhere. I’m just looking for something more reliable I guess :)

Oh gosh, let me give you some suggestions for this coming Shabbat!

I typically suggest that folks tune into two live streams. Both are available 24/7 and you can watch past services and holiday services to get a feel for these very intricate communities. All synagogues are different, but these two services seem to me to be ‘average’ (whatever that means!) examples of a Reform Service and a Conservative Service (with some nuance) that might help you understand the differences in worship. It is also worth noting that not only do they both having really incredible clergy, but both Synagogues are all over Youtube and other social media platforms. I suggest checking out their Facebook pages, Youtube pages, and their websites to better understand who they are what they do before tuning in.

The first community is Central Synagogue- a Reform Community in New York City. This is going to be your typical Reform Service done in their style.  Here is a link to their livestream.

The second community is Park Avenue Synagogue, a Conservative Shul also in New York City. They provide their congregants with a 'typical’ Conservative service, except they often bring more music to the mix. One interesting tidbit to this community is their use of technology (microphones/cameras) and musical instruments on Shabbat. This is not normative in the Conservative Movement as most of the time, Conservative clergy and congregants maintain a more Shomer Shabbat space in their communities. But other than that, this is your 'typical’ Conservative service and boy are they beautiful!  Here is a link to their livestream.
