In many cultures, the egg is a wonderful symbol of birth. This egg, which stands tall at seven feet, was hatched by Nilton Maltz and Adriana Varella from recycled circuit boards. Adriana called the art piece #DigitalDNA, and designated it to be the heart of #siliconvalley. The project was funded by both the city of #PaloAlto and private donors. #mslcompany #birthofinnovation #innovativedesign #contemporaryart #peoplescreative #creativeminds #art #tech (at Lytton Plaza)
DigitalDNA and Signal Studios' early access game Savage Lands doesn't respect the player. It hates you. For almost any genre other than the trusty Survival Simulator, this would be a pretty damning way to start a preview, but the genre is meant to be ruthless; throwing you at a harsh landscape and telling you to [...]
Castle Miner Z PC (OPEN BETA)
Are you a adventurous and survival loving PC Gamer looking for a thrilling new game to play?
Well, have you ever heard of Castle Miner Z?
It was originally an Xbox game, which is a popular game on the 'XBOX Marketplace' not sure if you own an Xbox, Reason being if like me you're an epic PC Gamer you may stick to your keyboard and mouse. Anyway the developers of Castle Miner Z, 'Digital DNA' have published the game on Steam from the Steam Greenlight, the game has not yet actual been released on Steam even after receiving thousands of votes, so they may remain on the Steam Greenlight Voting Station and continue to wait to be Greenlit, or they may give up. Two days ago (27th June, 2013) out of the blue 'Digital DNA' released their own standalone program/launcher for the game (very similar to Minecraft's launcher). The game version is currently a free open beta and from my own personal opinion it is an extraordinary game, the graphics are fascinating and the game runs very smooth (this will depend on your computer specifications of course). On the other hand as it is a beta I myself have come across a few bugs & glitches but they're not major and don't massively effect game-play.
The game is basically a non 8-bit Minecraft with better textures and awesome detailed graphics, even the mobs (enemies) are highly detailed. The main and exciting mob in the game is most definitely the dragon as it is what you'd expect from such a impressing first impression of the game, a horrible fire breathing firing beast shall descend from the sky and try to stop you from adventuring this large cube world. Fighting back? Oh yes, in Castle Miner Z guns are a very spectacular main feature of the game. From pistols, to what looks like a silenced uzi, rifles, AK47's this game is jam packed with powerful and harming weapons.
So, if you ever fancy checking this game out here is the link to the website where you can download the beta: http://www.castleminerz.com/Download.html
As I said it is currently a beta version so some features are a work in progress, as far as I know Multi-player is not a working feature and neither is creative mode so you'll have to hold fire on these features, unless you do find a way to join a working server in the game, as I may be doing something incorrect so feel free to try that.
A big thank you and congratulations to Digital DNA for releasing their PC version of Castle Miner Z.
