My submission for @poketcg-art Kanto Pokédex redraw. This Rhyhorn was originally illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita. Both cards are from my own collection.

Initially I thought about colouring this using traditional tools (maybe a combination of pencil crayons and markers) but I decided that colouring it digitally would make a nice contrast to the soft textures of the original.

Rhyhorn was never my favourite nor least favourite Pokemon, but drawing this gave me a renewed appreciation for its design.

A mom on a local group posted that her 8-year-old was having a birthday party and all his friends had bailed on him (illness, etc) do any of the moms in the group with kids that age group wanna come round for pizza, cake, and Disney movies they've probably seen 500 times already. I said I have no kids, but happy to draw his favourite animal for him. (I was expecting a dinosaur) .. she said he loves orange cats. Okay, orange cat it is! That's when I discovered that, along with my laptop charger, I'd forgotten 90% of my art supplies. It's a bit rough, but I got it done with 11% charge left!

Doodled a season 8 Scar with Jellie in ink the other night and quickly coloured it on the computer and added a faint view of his starter base, the Swaggon.
