Presentation | Printed Map "From Gay To Queer"

How queer (sub)cultures have developed from their separated LGBTI* niches, with the focus on Bremen in the 1990s Wir freuen uns, euch die Printed Map “From Gay To Queer” im Rahmen der Eröffnung der neuen Räume von Garabatos Atelier in der Bohnenstraße 7, 28203 Bremen am 17. Dezember um 19 Uhr präsentieren zu können . Mit der Printed Map wird auch der “Queer.topia” Kalender 2023 vorgestellt, der sein Erscheinen mit einer Ausstellung der Foto-Shootings aus dem aktuellen und vorangegangenen Kalendern feiert. Unser Projekt der Printed Map zusammen mit “Queer.topia” vorstellen zu können macht uns stolz. Wir freuen uns sehr, Euch Geschichten aus den 90er Jahren zu zeigen die (teiweise) ins Heute reichen und gleichzeitig Bilder von “Queer.topia” zu sehen, die ein queeres Selbstbewußtsein oder auch utopische Darstellungen dessen nowadays, jetzt in diesem Moment, abbilden.

Am Nachmittag um 16 Uhr stellt die Gruppe “A 1000 Channels” zusammen mit der RLI  –Rosa Luxemburg Initiative Bremen ihre digitale Plattform für Queer Mappings in der Bohnenstraße vor: Mit dem Prototyp des Tools konnte “Queer, narratives, mapped” die digitalen Karten umsetzen. Die gedruckte Faltkarte zeigt einen Ausschnitt der digitalen Karte „From Gay To Queer“ mit Zitaten und (Bild)Material von Protagonist*innen queerer (Sub)kulturen und Entwicklungen aus den 1990er Jahren, die wir im Sommer und Herbst 2021 interviewt haben. Die digitale Karte wurde im Projekt „Intersections & Constellations. A queer mapping project" von Juni bis Dezember 2021 von der working group „Queer narratives, mapped“ entwickelt. Im Frühjahr und Herbst 2022 haben Dafne Jaramillo und Thomas Böker daraus eine gedruckte, mehrdimensionale Karte entwickelt. Die Working group Queer narratives, mapped wurde begleitet durch öffentliche Workshops  und ist initiiert von city/data/explosion und dem kunst- und kulturverein spedition e.V..  Mit "Queer narratives, mapped" wurden 2020 und 2021 unter dem Projekttitel "Intersections & Constellations" die Karten "Queeraspora Collective Mappings" (zusammen mit Queeraspora) und "From Gay To Queer" realisiert. The project „Intersections & Constellations“ was initiated and hosted by kunst- und kulturverein spedition e.V. in collaboration with city/data/explosion and the working group „Queer narratives, mapped“.
