a: both of these questions have the same answer, conveniently enough. the day he saved his elder brother from being held up by the Army was the day he felt the most confident and self-assured during; albeit a bit anxious, considering the situation. he walked away having earned his only feather (historical accuracy is a little questionable…only cause of the lack of records and such), and Sikwa would consider him “forever” in his brother’s debt afterward.

b: johnny feels as though he could never tell a soul about his and his brother’s detailed plans to blow out his stepfather’s flame, iykwim…Elijah is very lucky, I’ll say that much.

d: honestly, he wants to live a peaceful life with a significant other (or two…etc) on a beautiful plot of land, likely somewhere off toward West Elizabeth. that’s all he’s ever wanted. having worked several jobs all throughout his life, he’s had to move around quite a lot. having a stable spot to live out his natural life, surrounded by the Earth, that is his ideal utopia.

e: he probably fears the u.s. government as much as he spurns it. because of his connections and, thusly, new knowledge, he refuses to step foot in Canada for the same reasons. as for overcoming, it’s pretty safe to say that infiltrating an Army fort under the cover of night is a step toward conquering his greatest fear, but history isn’t always in our favor, is it?

m: he would claim not to be, but frankly: yes. he lacks a bit of security, and feels somewhat inadequate, as though he’s more of a working hand than any regular man. he’s unfair to himself, but truly wants to get better.

Jericho:

Kamuy is his primary steed, a black shire with white accents and a gentle temperament. somehow i don’t have much of a story for him yet despite how much i love his and jericho’s bond LMAOO i just know they get along so well YAYYY😸 (meta: i named him when i was going through a huge golden kamuy phase a couple years back hehe…i love golkam and i enjoy kamui folklore sm (i enjoyed it BEFORE i watched golden kamuy trust i was a. well child me was a weeaboo but who gaf))

Youkai is his second horse, a fully white shire mare with curly hair and the attitude of a princess :3 she was a rescue!! and he lets her relax in the corral most of the time

Francisco:

Onyx is a pretty little Missouri Fox Trotter with a brown brindle pattern and a white face. she’s curious and adventurous, but can also be easy to scare at times. she’s strong, though, and handles Francisco’s bounties with ease. he bought her somewhere in West Elizabeth on one of his trips out of his mountains with Jericho, where part of the cost was covered by his dear friend. Francisco loves that horse.

Johnny:

Tsisdetsi is a silvery grey Grullo Dun mustang mare, named for how oddly quiet she is (ᏥᏍᏕᏥ/tsisdetsi = “mouse”). her English name is Cricket, both because Johnny thought it would be cute and because crickets are known for the constant and recognizable sounds they make—a direct contrast to the very nature of his pretty steed. he bought her from a renowned breeder, not wanting to take risks on a back-alley deal, and he’s grateful he made the decision each time he reminisces on the day he came home with Cricket.

Sikwa:

ok surprise empty slot cause kawo has been so. anyway his horse is named Soquili (meaning “horse” LMAO”), breed unknown atm, but he likes the thing well enough. when he’s out drinking and getting into fights, Johnny steps in to take care of the horse for him. he probably obtained it from a closed auction his brother managed to slip them into, but as aforementioned i still don’t have too much lore sigh.

Camilo:

I haven’t had the chance to do much lore stuff for him in general, but I imagine his horse is a thoroughbred with an even temperament. Camilo talks to his horse quite often while they’re alone, and i’m sure the beast understands. he got her pretty simply, by trading with a rancher for one of their better steeds.

7: he enjoys both pretty equally, but if he had to choose, then he’d say being able to give gifts to people he loves. showing he cares is somewhat hard at times, so having an outlet that is accessible to him (giving) helps a lot.

8: see above hehe…giving handmade or store-bought gifts is the easiest way for him to show affection, and so is writing letters.

11: he enjoys them, and he’s not really one to deny himself that kind of happiness so i don’t think he would be in denial either! he loves to love hehe.

12: probably on a date to be honest! it would be nice, in his mind, to go for a nice dinner before hitting a local lake to stargaze on a boat. that’d be the ideal date.

13: depends! because of the period, he’s probably more cautious around who he shows public affection for, but only out of necessity. he would enjoy holding hands and hugging in public otherwise, and perhaps even a kiss or two :3 nothing too out-there, as he’s a generally private man.

Francisco

7: he loves getting gifts. not in a materialistic way, but in the way that it proves to him his “worth” in a relationship, regardless of whether it’s platonic or romantic. he has a complicated line of thinking, and probably not very healthy, frankly.

8: he’s definitely very verbal about his love, and can be handsy in private. he will also buy gifts when he has the money to!!

11: he is definitely a romantic man, so he would enjoy the hell out of such gestures. even if he’s hard to tie down, he still partakes in romance as respectfully as he can.

12: hmmm i’m leaning home…it’s more cozy to him, but he understands if people don’t wanna spend a night sleeping in the cold ass mountains LMAOO🪾he loves his place though, and i know i certainly wouldn’t turn down a stay in his cabin :3 (platonic)(he is me)(as are a select few others of my ocs)(HELP I’M DROWNINGGG)

13: he loooves pda, and will be as sneaky as he can just to touch up on another man🫡 especially Jericho, but that’s neither here nor there…maybe?

Dikayuga got his name from how well he took to the water, moving as gracefully as the fish yet having as fierce a nature as a shark.

he has only ever made two medicine pouches. one was his own, which he wears nearly everywhere, and the other was for someone he loved dearly.

glove: he loves to write in his journal, travel with his brother, and meet new people—although he probably wouldn’t immediately admit to the last bit. he hates confronting people larger than himself, having to remain in extended company with people he even mildly dislikes, and when it comes time for him to cleanse his guns (LMAO).

clover: honestly, i wanted a way to express a different part of myself, and his development was very entwined with my own. there are a handful of ocs like him (that are Me…in a very complicated way) and they’re all of varying degrees of kawosity (like luminosity but me🐎). dikayuga represents quiet vengeance, exploration—faceted, includes love, travel, knowledge, etc—and inner turmoil.

skull: heterophobia /jjjjjjjjjJJJJJJJJ for real though, he’s afraid of losing himself to his anger and sadness. it won’t happen, and he’s definitely influenced by paranoia (kawo mention), but phobias aren’t always rooted in reality.

donut: his greatest enemy is his stepfather, but his true arch-nemesis is the government that wronged him, his family, and his People as a whole, as well as Peoples like his.

target: despite his qualms, he’s got a good head on his shoulders, and is generally very good at solving problems.

Francisco

glove: he loves to spend quality time with his horse, Onyx, visit his closest friend (Jericho, of course), and hang around in saloons well after midnight. he hates fighting with fellow bounty hunters over targets, having to take his clothes to a tailor after a fight, and visiting any doctor’s office.

clover: my silly boy :3 tbh he was made so that I could have a feisty oc, which is a boring reason, but he’s grown so so much from where he initially sprouted that it’s Okay. it’s okay…

skull: francisco is deeefinitely afraid of coming up on the wrong bounty target and being overpowered. it’s why he carries a shotgun with him, but that doesn’t quell the fear nearly enough.

donut: other bounty hunters, specifically money-hungry ones, are his only rivals. francisco has no enemies.

target: his charisma and smooth-talking are his best attributes, in his eyes (and in the eyes of many a wooed woman). he has shown himself to be a capable speaker, able to get himself in and out of almost any situation.

3: he looks for someone who can act as his equal, someone who will respect him and treat him as any other man (but better, considering the partner bit). he also wants someone who is both able to take care of him and willing to be taken care of! he loves giving and receiving, even if it takes him a bit to truly warm up to someone. this is all well and good and healthy, but a less savory part of him wants to be with someone who is better than him, so that he has a bit of competition. (he’s workin on it…)

4: hmmm…i think he pretends he doesn’t care, but he honestly tries to keep himself in good condition, shaving and pruning himself where he deems necessary. he’s a little insecure, but his opinion of his appearance is generally positive!

7: he love love loves writing letters and giving gifts, but hardly has the opportunity to write to anyone but his mother and brother. he has written a few love letters in his day, but those connections either fizzled out or the men straight up died.

10: he loves a moustachioed man. that and people who are around his weight class, if not heavier (see competition above LMAO). he’s usually only surprised when thinks he starts to feel deeper emotions for women, but that’s generally only when he’s drunk.

14: he might feign a strong sense of confidence (fake it til u make it king ova here) until he grows closer with a person, and it usually goes over pretty well! that is, for those he actually chooses to pursue; further, those who choose to pursue him back.

3: journeying, tbh…he loves to get around, and loves to see new places ! he cannot be tied down—unless you present him with a moderately attractive man, i guess…

6: the men who took his cousin from him, or at least their leader. he still doesn’t know who did it.

12: take him to see a movie ! as new as they would be at the time, he would certainly find himself entranced for at least a little while.

23: trust! if he can’t trust you, he’s not even gonna bother with you to begin with. he thrives in a secure environment, and will not tolerate being lied to or led astray.
