What types of horses do each of your fellas have? (And mayhaps, how did they get them?) >:D

Jericho:

Kamuy is his primary steed, a black shire with white accents and a gentle temperament. somehow i don’t have much of a story for him yet despite how much i love his and jericho’s bond LMAOO i just know they get along so well YAYYY😸 (meta: i named him when i was going through a huge golden kamuy phase a couple years back hehe…i love golkam and i enjoy kamui folklore sm (i enjoyed it BEFORE i watched golden kamuy trust i was a. well child me was a weeaboo but who gaf))

Youkai is his second horse, a fully white shire mare with curly hair and the attitude of a princess :3 she was a rescue!! and he lets her relax in the corral most of the time

Francisco:

Onyx is a pretty little Missouri Fox Trotter with a brown brindle pattern and a white face. she’s curious and adventurous, but can also be easy to scare at times. she’s strong, though, and handles Francisco’s bounties with ease. he bought her somewhere in West Elizabeth on one of his trips out of his mountains with Jericho, where part of the cost was covered by his dear friend. Francisco loves that horse.

Johnny:

Tsisdetsi is a silvery grey Grullo Dun mustang mare, named for how oddly quiet she is (ᏥᏍᏕᏥ/tsisdetsi = “mouse”). her English name is Cricket, both because Johnny thought it would be cute and because crickets are known for the constant and recognizable sounds they make—a direct contrast to the very nature of his pretty steed. he bought her from a renowned breeder, not wanting to take risks on a back-alley deal, and he’s grateful he made the decision each time he reminisces on the day he came home with Cricket.

Sikwa:

ok surprise empty slot cause kawo has been so. anyway his horse is named Soquili (meaning “horse” LMAO”), breed unknown atm, but he likes the thing well enough. when he’s out drinking and getting into fights, Johnny steps in to take care of the horse for him. he probably obtained it from a closed auction his brother managed to slip them into, but as aforementioned i still don’t have too much lore sigh.

Camilo:

I haven’t had the chance to do much lore stuff for him in general, but I imagine his horse is a thoroughbred with an even temperament. Camilo talks to his horse quite often while they’re alone, and i’m sure the beast understands. he got her pretty simply, by trading with a rancher for one of their better steeds.

Is that so? An abrupt change of plans, but I can accommodate. As for the horses, I heard tell of your family’s prestigious lines from a new friend of mine; the fellow is another man born and raised here in Italy, you see, for I’ll need his guidance navigating this land. I’ve a collection of my own saddles back in Spain, but certain circumstances have changed, and the result of this change has landed me in such a beautiful country…your home sprawls with life, and your shores remind me of those back in my patria.

I cannot dwell too long on such thoughts. I have made peace with my new life and I intend to fill it with the treasures and joys I have earned. Your horses are currently on the top of this list, yes? I will rebuild my collection here until I can have my original flock imported. Then, and only then, will I consider selling some off or trading certain ones away.

I will be there, punctual as ever; but, I’m sure you know this by now.

my past numbers for Dante too pls…i miss him

1: honestly… his laugh it probably really annoying to the people he’s around enough. it’s a really loud “HA HA HA” sort of laugh that is hard not to hear. he also moves around a lot when he laughs, and he’ll go and grab someone’s shoulder or arm to pull them into it. aside from that, his smaller chuckles are more like puffs of air that just come through his nostrils, but i wouldn’t even consider those a laugh. trust me when i say you will know when he finds something funny because he will be very annoying about it

4: his whole life, all of his gifts have only ever been material things. money, rings, bracelets, or other things of that sort. he wouldn’t really know how to react in terms of it being handed straight to him, maybe just a “thank you” and some sort of inside thought about how he may get rid of it when he gets home. BUT, really, he would put it on his bedside table and stare at it whenever he’s about to go to bed, wondering to himself what the meaning behind such a gift would be. once he was finally able to digest just how special a handmade gift is, he’d probably be a little emotional over the idea

11: without a doubt, it would be acting like you’re better than him. he’s generally not easy to annoy—or at least he doesn’t express most of his annoyance outwardly. if you talk louder than him and you act like you’re hot shit, all he can ever think is that it’s performative and annoying. it’s one of the many reasons that he has a tendency to get into fights with octavio… because vio is smarter than him and likes to show off.

12: on the flip side, he is SO EASY to entertain. he likes watching other people play table games, and enjoys it even more if they’re throwing jabs and insults at one another. dante himself likes getting into small arguments or spats with people he doesn’t care for, and it’s part of the reason why he gets himself into trouble frequently. knife fights are also his next favorite next to arguing 🤧

21: his mother comes to mind immediately when he wants to find comfort, and strangely enough, his grandfather from time to time. growing up, he found himself to be the closest to his mother of the rest of his siblings, and spend most of his time with her until rosario began convincing him to see his mother as less than. regardless, there are times when he thinks back to when he was a kid and when she would sit on the floor with him while he played.

depends once again on the person. if he cares about them, he’d be deeply appreciative, and would either want to cover half the bill or repay them somehow afterward. if he doesn’t care, he’d would thank them and enjoy his meal, letting them handle the bill.

because of the sensitivity of his positions (both as a psychiatrist and as a man working with the mob), he would likely either drop communications with such a person immediately or have them snuffed outright.

hmmm i honestly haven’t put much thought into it i won’t lie…i still haven’t fleshed out the Del Gatos as much as i would like to😭 (i also haven’t been thinking abt my rdr ocs much lately either, mostly been ivan and vincenzo)

if Tabi survived the attack, maybe she and Jericho both would have lead the gang, and maybe she could have had a nasty scar as well teehee

i don’t think Francisco would be much different, as he’s already in the middle pretty much…idk maybe an au where his brother never dies? i don’t think he would have met Jericho though so i don’t like to imagine that💔

Dikayuga got his name from how well he took to the water, moving as gracefully as the fish yet having as fierce a nature as a shark.

he has only ever made two medicine pouches. one was his own, which he wears nearly everywhere, and the other was for someone he loved dearly.

I feel like any time Jadwiga and Francisco’d theoretically meet (at least the first few times), Jadwiga’d prolly ✨loredump✨ at him- different information each time- instinctively because she’s used to people messing (And like. Not. Actually having chill intentions oops <\3) with her in an attempt to terrify / intimidate / peeve him off but it only ends up in Francisco thinking she's Actually Pretty Cool, and thus leaving her even more confused lmao 😌

he’s heard his fair share of stories, but has hardly had the chance to experience real-world dangers (outside of those that come with bounty hunting), being cooped up in his cabin most of the time nd all…a lot of these stories come from Jericho actually, so it’d be nice for him to have a new fountain under which he can shower himself with information about the world.

animals and such don’t count as dangerous under the aforementioned category, to him. they act on instinct alone, and cannot be blamed for their actions. humans, on the other hand, have an expressed capability to be compassionate, making betrayal all the more painful. Francisco sees storytelling as a way to make connections, to build trust, to show that he is worthy of keeping around; even if just as a listening ear.

Jadwiga’s definitely got stories to tell, too. I’m sure her history would intrigue Francisco quite a lot, naturally, and he would be genuinely engaged the entire time.

    As I am currently, ashamedly, dreadfully bored and in need of a good laugh… And your previous unannounced arrival certainly facilitated such a thing. I will give you some advice, I suppose. As no harm can come of it- or at least, not to me? I’m uncertain as of yet if you are a fool or simply an odd fellow; hopefully the latter!

    Hm… A couple random things, because why not- but not too much information; as where’s the fun in that! My good friend Jadwiga will never turn down a brawl, but do not go easy on her because she’s a woman, as she will know and probably kill you for such an offence! Probably best not to give her money, as she’ll likely simply spend it all getting incredibly drunk, and, of course, passing out somewhere- it’s happened before in unrelated circumstances, I’m afraid; last time she did it we found her halfway to Armadillo?! I don’t even know… And most importantly? DO. NOT. ASK. HER. ABOUT. THE. SCARS.

    Otherwise, I don’t know what else to tell you- frankly, that was the first time anything of the sort has happened! Besides, no matter the outcome at the very least it’ll stave off the absolutely infuriating pattern of repetition I’ve found myself stuck in!

Anyway, I think I’ll take your advice next time I speak with her, whenever that will be…I hope I haven’t scared her off? I’d like to get to know her a lot better, but only if she will let me.

You, on the other hand…I’m sure you and I will get along just fine. Jericho likes you, y’know? Actually, he mentioned to me some time ago that he fancied yer clothes quite a bit; I must say that I agree with him.
