SO! Big day for me! Scott Pilgrim anime got a release which is great but most interesting to me is the new trailer for the Shredder's Revenge DLC... which announced that KARAI will be the 2nd new playable character!!

The interesting thing about her inclusion is she was never a character in the 87 show (the timeline this game takes place). She was in the original comic series as far back as volume 1 but she wouldn't see a full adaption into other media until the 03 show.

The closest we got of her appearing in this era of TMNT was her appearance as a playable fighter and the final boss in the 16 bit versions of Tournament Fighter.

It is gonna be very interesting to see how she plays and how they're gonna explain her appearance in this game when the DLC releases later this month.

I’m obsessed with 87 Karai

She doesn’t actually exist in the show and was created for the video game

He design and powers are clearly inspired by 87 Shredder

Specifically her special (triangle) move is the same as what we see super shredder doing in the final battle

The purple lightning and implication that she has access to these powers 

Lines where she claimed to be the “real” leader of the foot

Honestly all of her lines are amazing, idk who voices her, but I’m also obsessed with them now

I googled it, her name is Alannah Gurnsey

The super vague lore, what even is her backstory here?

I assume she shredder’s daughter (because she tends to be, and there similarities)

But how did she become allies with the turtles?

What’s her relationship to April and Casey like??

Guess we’ll never know (it’s a number one champion sound, yeah Estelle, we bout to get down, get down)
